Why not be allowed to work through your experience and process everything? Is there or should there be an expiration date on rape or sexual assault? WTF? If you did those things, you need to pay for it... whenever the collector arrives at your door step.

simmer halo. it's like the people coming out in droves now about what happened to them by lauer, Weinstein, spacey etc. I'm not doubting it happened, but why did it all come out in a 3 month span and not before? why didn't Anthony Rapp come forward before about Spacey ? Same for the Weinstein accusers? Why this year? Why all of a sudden in October did women or even men come forward? it's very odd it all hit the fan at the SAME TIME!

 

These actions and practices have been kept tight, and swept under the rug for ages, before the existence of Hollywood. Its like a volcano, you know its gonna blow at some point. Think about all the centuries-old dirt under the rug, it looks like an orca is lying there. And if you think about just the Donnie thing, these people came out during the campaign and NO BODY LISTENED OR GAVE A FUCK. Now with the momentum of the Sexual Misconduct Avalanche currently in progress, every person's voice is heard. If someone raped someone else decades ago and it just now came out, when your life is about to get a shit-tonne better, tough titties for you, you're still a rapist.

 

Donnie was even using mob style intimidation tactics. Paying thugs to follow the women around, anonymous phone calls telling them that their lives will be ruined. When you go up against powerful people, evil will prevail.

 

Instead of asking "Why now?", why not just ask, "Why?", but to the perpetrator, not the victims/survivors. You may disagree, but ANYTIME is a good time to blow the whistle on a rapist or murderer. Timing? Fuck you (not you personally, Cat). Wanna question timing? What time was it when these people committed these acts? Clark Gable should've been a nobody (and sent to prison)... after he drunkenly ran down and killed a woman after a night of partying and just when his star was starting to shine. The studio bought his "free pass". Fuck these people, all of them.

but raping and murder are serious crimes. not all cases are those violent acts. example - taylor swift took someone to court for grabbing her ass. sorry, but that's petty vs rape and murder. wrong to grab someone's ass? yes, but not the same type of criminal act. there's a difference. my thing why hide it ? why hold in a terrible act of sexual assault for 15, 20, 25 yrs + eating away at you ? that does more harm than good.
