The Ditch part deux

I've been up and down florida 3 times, only the eastcoast and Orlando, never been west.

 

tampa twice. ft. myers and destin. and apparently at 2 or 3 yrs old at Disney. According to my late Mother, all I wanted to eat was hotdogs. Breakfast? Hotdog, hotdog, i want a hotdog. No hotdogs!

now i don't recall that, but somehow i did recall a stone slide going into a giant swimming pool. the pool was surrounded by white and blue aluminum chairs and matching white and blue umbrellas. my oldest sister, who was 15 at the time, said there's no way a 2 or 3 year old could remember that about the pool, but my older brother said that pool and slide and chairs existed. somehow i remembered that, but not the quest and demand for hotdogs. hahahhaha

all i know is jobs in florida wanted to pay me $25-35,000 less than what im making now outside of philly and the job requirements were 4 pages longer than my own now. as much as i would love the weather, no snow and golf - pass.

 

I like your TEH PHIL approach for Disney. I've seen nearly every part of FL except the Keys. I-95/I-75/I-4. Vacationed in Daytona a few times as a kid. I lived in Bradenton/Sarasota (Gulf Coast) for a short while (late HS and shortly after). As an adult, I've worked in Miami on several projects. Florida isn't a terrible place. Drove the I-10 panhandle from New Orleans. From my experiences with Florida, I'd rather be on one of the coasts versus inland. Plus, FL just went RecMJ. Always a win in Frank's book.

 

I watched half a hockey game yesterday before I realized it was in Sweden... I'm a bit slow at times.

 

Canes up on the Blackhawks, 2-0... Chicago cant buy a goal.

 

Leafs up on Boston, 2-1 on just 6 SOG.

 

Kessel extends his point streak to four games (3G-3A). Goal and an assist tonight.

 

Sabres go to OT.

Wings in a shootout.

 

Red Wings lose in a shootout... the goalies were spectacular.

I'm on cbs (just checking scores), they show 2-1 sabres in OT, so I say, let me check out who scored the winner. I click into the gamecenter, and I see 2-1 habs, pacciorety, wtf?

 

They are still terrible. Had their college games tracker on and it was a mess all day long.

 

The NHL site is struggling too.

The Pens are 1 for their last 13 power plays (2.66 games). Its odd, because Pittsburgh has been near the top of the league thus far in PP production. In that same time frame, they've given up 4 PP goals of their last 9 opponents' opportunities.

Big night tonight for Kariya and Selanne, getting inducted in the HOF. I'll see if I could get any pictures.

 

my older sister and her husband went to Key West last summer for their 25th wedding anniversary and fell in love with the place. they were planning on going back this year - after hurricane Irma, they can kiss that plan goodbye! Most if not all the Keys were leveled to the ground!

My older brother went to school in 1984 on Daytona Beach bf the Spring Breakers came. He went to Embry or Emry Riddle-some plane school. His school was partially on the beach!! I couldn't imagine! Hell my second year in college, we went to lunch and it was 75 degrees. we went to dinner hours later and a cold front hit and temps dropped 30 degrees. we had no idea. we still were wearing shorts and t shirts. that's chicago-land weather for ya.

 

It's an absolute disgrace that Jeremy Jacobs is being inducted. In an interview he was asked about the day he found out that he was being inducted and spoke about Lenny McDonald calling him w/ the news?!?!?!?! Fucking LENNY McDonald, are you serious JJ, you dont even know the guy's name that called you and that you'll be joining in the HOF. No business being in there. HOF is kind of a joke anyway and this further illustrates it.

 

Met some awesome Leafs fans the other night at the game, there were 15 of them down here for a bachelor party and we had a late night on Saturday.
