If you have $3500. Kind of a rip-off that the Russians arent wearing their red sweaters at this price.

I ended up ordering option 2, the MD Sports version. There were a couple things that sold me on it but the one thing that is guaranteed to annoy me is those piss yellow nets, lol.

so what went wrong in those negotiations? moreover, will the same issue come up with Duchene?

If she digs the one I got her and continues to want to follow hockey then I'll get her something along these lines at some point.

I had her with me at Dunham's a couple weeks back when I was looking for a new speed bag. She went straight to the stick aisle and grabbed one for me, one for herself and a blue practice puck yelling "COME ON DAD!", lol. We must have spent 40 minutes passing that thing back and forth in the middle of the main aisle.

It's 80 degrees, right now, in Palm Beach. Less humid than most of the year.
    All the best, everyone.

Well, unless you plan to pay to live in Palm Beach. Hell, I was homeless for two years and was still working.

Yeah, the hurricanes can be a real pain in the ass. Honestly, I'd love to move somewhere more temperate - everything but the winter months are unbearable, and even then, it's really just the small dip in humidity that we're celebrating over. The problem is, you go much farther north, and you're looking at more severe winters. There really isn't a good middle.

It's why so many people come down here, especially during the winter. People joke about it a lot, but seriously, the snowbird problem isn't a single bit of fun. For locals, it's almost a big enough pain to ruin the one nice time of year, weather-wise.

But, I guess I can't complain. I sure as shit wouldn't want to be buried in the snow. Sorry, everyone. I'll enjoy what I've got.

I'm sitting in on a murder trial, the guy killed his girlfriend and burned her in an incinerator.

not just palm beach, but mostly all of florida. when those guys in a boat filmed roy halladay's plane, im thinking, these guys are out on a work day in the afternoon on a boat just cruising around. i wish i could do that. that's what i mean by not working due to nice weather. just going to work in 75 degree weather year round is nice. it's 36 today and cold as hell. im wfh today and i got the heat on!!!

and the snow can be bad in philly, but last year, we had a moderate winter. now the NE corridor gets hammered every year. Upstate NY, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire are no fun.

Yeah, but what I'm saying, Catfish, is that if you want to live near enough to a beach in Florida to spend the day there, you're working too much to ever go to the beach. I can't honestly tell you the last time I was at the beach. I work 7 days a week. This is one of the most expensive places to live in the country. The people out on a boat on a weekday afternoon? Well, let's just say that they're the exception, not the rule. The working class doesn't actually get to live in Florida, the way all these other people do.

And don't misunderstand - it's not 75 degrees. It's never 75 degrees. It's 81 right now, with 74% humidity. That's about as cool a day as you're going to get, without a dedicated cold front (we get about two weeks total of weather below that mark, year round). Typically, Florida weather doesn't dip below 85 and 80% humidity. For the vast majority of the year, it's 90+ degree and humidity.

Sounds a lot worse, doesn't it? That's why the people who are out on their boats on a weekday afternoon spend their time up north most of the year, and down here for vacations or the winter time. Because, again, living down here as the working class is a lot less fun.

Dline-i went golfing in Tampa last November. People out on the course like it was normal. i was there on vacation. people out on boats, cruising around. people on scooters etc. what i didn't get was 3 houses were for sale on this one course at $250,000 and the downtown Tampa metropolis is no bigger than 3 story buildings and only a handful of them. we were like what do these people do for work to afford to live here?? then at the bucs-bears game...sat next to 2 young 25 yr olds who had Bucs season tix, and we were 7 rows from the field and the 30 yr line!! She was a Nurse Practitioner and her boyfriend was in Med-School. Gotta have big bucks to live there, but the jobs don't seem to exist.

and what is your rent/mortgage if you're working 7 days a week? jeez.
