I'm not saying you're wrong, but I'm not down with the font. It doesn't seem as bad on #1 and #2, but #3 looks really odd. The font just looks wonky.

Good for him... that's a remarkable story and I'm no fan of his, but it takes courage to keep going on when your health gives you a hard time.

 

Nice to see Eddie Olczek (sp) back on 'Rivalry Night'.

 

With every team having played 10 to 13 games now, I thought it would be interesting to observe the biggest surprises...

On the negative side; The Coyotes are really sucky. I didn't know a team could start 0-10-0, that's not easy to do. They have 3 points, wow. They currently stand, 1-11-1 and don't look like they are going to get any better.

Another surprise on the negative side is... The Edmonton Oilers. What the hell is going on there? 3-7-1, with no offense. I think they will eventually turn it around, but I sure expected a quicker start from them, especially from McDavid and Talbot, both who have been very average so far.

I got to mention the New York Rangers here. They have given up a ship-load of goals this season and look terrible doing it. Kinda surprising to me as I thought King Henry was going to be good no matter what. Turns out he's not quite the King I thought he was and they are not quite the team they thought they were.

On the positive side; The New Jersey Devils have caught me by surprise. They are getting great goaltending and are un-beaten on the road. They currently sit at 9-2-0... that's not too shabby and I kinda thought they would be at or near the bottom to start this season. Shows what I know!

How about the St. Louis Blues? I didn't see that one either. Great start (10-2-1).

The Kings are off to a surprisingly good start, but that gets outshined by the Vegas Golden Knights. What a start for them. Off to a 9-2-1 start, Vegas has only dropped 1 game at home (6-1-0) where they have spent most of the season so far, but still a great start. Curious to see how they fair on the road trippin' they will be doing now.

PS - I didn't mention the Lightning for 1 damn good reason. I HATE them! They are really good and have done a complete flip-flop compared to last season... I hope it doesn't last.

 

Edmonton, montreal, buffalo, all have to pick it up.

Interesting is Vegas, what if they didn't have these goalie problems? Do they want to be this good, this early? I'm not sure that this was in the plans. The kings are back, dustin brown having a resurgence, the blues are the blues.

 

As far as the yotes go, I have no idea what their overall goal is, will they ever spend to the cap? As long as there's signifigant cap space that won't be used, good luck.

No... Elliot and the defense.

Elliot needs to be better and the defense is comprised of pieces and parts that need to pick up their game. The Flyers seem to be one-sided as in, they play offensively , but don't transition well back to defense. The forwards have got to be more defensive minded and play a better 2-way game.

Why all the Hexy bashing? ... and Crawford is on fire too.

 

^ i didn't say 1 thing about hextall in my post ? not his fault patrick is hurt, ghost got face planted to the glass and no call and he's hurt, and andy mac is out for 4 weeks. it's on hakstol to play b. manning over s. morin, not hextall. and Will - after those 2 challenges that cost the Flyers, fans are wondering about his mindset and coaching abilities. besides o. lindblom being sent down the team is the team they have. they're not the predators or penguins. they are what they are, but i expect better play out of the players and much better coaching from hakstol.

8 or 9 yr old swings his stick twice tomahawk style at kid's head and then punches him. the ref is slow to respond. the female parent yelling is the best part.

if you look at the take down the kid swings and misses the other kid with his arm and then swings his stick twice at his head connecting at least once. 8-9 yrs old man.

should he be banned for LIFE? the season? i mean this kid has issues. he needs some therapy fast. ref needs to act faster.
