sorry for your loss Matty. i knew one of your guys knew him bc when the movie came out it was mentioned. i just didn't recall who. im 45 and he was 35. he had his whole life ahead of him. very sad.

Well, after the Eagles draft pick last night and about 50 people i know on Facebook bashing the pick as this or that and too slow, i asked all of them - have they seem him play?

yes i know im stubborn and a rock head most times as you the others all know, but this time i listened to you and said "give the guy a chance." i like the pick, but so many so called experts out there proclaiming he's a stiff without playing in game 1!

 

Well played Cat. If fan xyz doesn't like a pick in any sport but doesn't have a reason beyond what the media feeds them....... tough to respect that.

Also, appreciate the kind words regarding Mantenuto. We weren't close or anything but we knew one another. I hadn't spoken to him since he got the role on Miracle.

 

well you knew him and were associates and his death is just sad to see at 35. i hope he didn't have PTSD from his service in the Army. He seemed like he had a lot going for him. Surprised he wasn't in more movies.

 

he had his demons well before the Army, thats all i'll say about that.

he was great as O'Callahan in Miracle. played Sully to a T.

 

Jack was mad the 1 kid took the ring off his finger from the NCAA Championships a few years earlier. Love that. He got him back though!

i have seen too many over-hyped players coming out of portland. i have watched the winterhawks in person 10 times. cody has some potential, but so did ty rattie, et. al. i do not see him as a top 1 center. Casey Mittelstadt is the one i want. give me the minnesota kid.

i hope this isn't true? how could ovi intend on his shot hurting the pens player when he turned to face him? someone says the shot is so far off? it's going to goal. now it's on a high path plane, but going to goal?

 

Ovi did shoot high, but even as pro you cannot control the puck 100% of the time on a shot. The Caps are desperate for a win vs Pittsburgh, but in no way shape or form did the Ovul8r try to add a hockey puck to the landscape of Hainsey's facial features. Penz fans, let the Caps fans cry about shit, it's what they do and it makes them who they are.

 

Where's solomon to comment on Ovi's accuracy. This is right in his wheelhouse

 

I'm not so sure. My initial reaction was that it was shady. Look at the second part of Cats video. Look how high that camera is above the ice. If it doesn't hit Hainsey its getting damn close to the camera height. I have a hard time believing a pro player of his caliber is going to miss that high with a wrister.
