I think the injury is still a problem but not the biggest problem.

You know what I'm going to point to though...ice time. Julien has cooked him, did it to him during the regular season. Too many shifts in a compressed schedule. He's 32 in a couple weeks and he used him the same for 3 years straight...too much. I've been shocked how effective he was against the Pens and Rangers. Same for Chara.

I was ranting about many coaches burning out their bluelines this year. Julien was among the offenders, but Seidenberg and Chara have proved me wrong so far. I wouldn't have put the Bruins in the finals with that much ice time through 3 rounds.

I agree with you about Jagr, he makes a terrible turnover or decision with the puck more often than he makes a strong play in the offensive zone. He's not slow and not quick enough anymore...he'll probably bury two tonight now that I said this.

 

played in a golf tourney last Friday w/ Hal Gill. Little known secret here- he's huge and his head is even proportionately bigger than his body. So after many beers I thought it would be a good idea to bring up his fight w/ Chara for some reason. He was pretty good about it and said that Chara throws anvils and he realized it was a huge mistake before they even squared off. Then he asked me if I wanted to talk about any fights where I got my ass kicked. Had to laugh and told him it would take too long.

Yes. Don't spill beer on anybody but yourself or your seat, throw things on the ice, pound glass, or be the whistler guy. That's the generally accepted code of conduct.

Glass pounding doesn't bother me at the games unless I'm near it. Nothing is quite so special as the guy pounding the glass in 0-0 game in-between whistles or during a play in the neutral zone.

It's more about Lulz' point. After goals, wins, big hits, fights, stuff like that, I don't think there's much wrong with that.

Co-worker of mine said that Julien was interviewed in french and its on tsn's french site where he refers to a Bergeron question and responds 'il joke'....something like he'll play.

my work Macbook, i use it primarily for IEPs (work) and MudnCleats (real life). i know i know, my priorities are spot on.

 

I can see if it's crazy excessive, but watching the game on TV the other night, I didn't notice it to a point that it'd be annoying.

I guess I can see that. I don't mind it, and don't mind sitting near it. Again, unless it's crazy excessive, I think it's a case of getting over it - why let it bother you?

 

i believe he's likely to play but can't substantiate that at all. Fellow teacher/hockey guy came busting in saying 'il joue' and told me that he heard on the radio some sports guys talking about CJ doing a french interview this morning or something and il joue means he'll play.
