I like this move for the leafs, they've exchanged scrivens for bernier, and they threw in a 4th liner, what's not to like? Bernier's an 11th overall pick that's never had the oppurtunity playing behind quick. Originally I heard that the kings wanted jake gardiner, so the overall majority of leaf fans really like this deal, from what I'm hearing so far.

lol, the more I watch it the worse I feel about letting it go. Boychuk had no reason to go so high and he still could have destroyed Toews. I hate those hits like that, but I think I would have felt worse if they called that a penalty.

Reimer and Scrivens were looking like a decent goalie tandem and I think Toronto has many more pressing needs to address before committing alot of money to an unproven backup. I think Frattin will be a cost effective player for a long time, something to be said for those since Toronto is still going to have to sign two high end skaters the next few years if they want to take the next step. Just my opinion on it. I almost never trust goalie projections.

  4. i think i have an easy solution. stop watching it ;)
    NUF SED.

Frattin will be cost effective, but easily replaceable, bernier will be a work in progress, a gamble, but a gamble I could live with, being he's an 11th overall pick.

  6. from the comments at nhl.com:

I still think it was a high hit according to shanny's snakes...if they prefer to wear halo's booinvision goggles...fine I'll move on. I really think Boychuck has played well with one exception (did I refuse to move on...should have been fined). Done!

Nonis is really pissing Burke off. He set a perfect table and now Dave is changing the entree's.

Nonis better be able to sign Bernier or...

Why do I think the Torts rumors are just that, is it false hope.

Looking forward to game 6 and how far Seth Jones slides.

  8. (i should point out, if there's any confusion, that the comment from nhl.com was about a different play entirely.)

No Confucius on my understanding of the phantom slash. Of course I wasn't wearing 3d booinvisions.

  10. but, since it was rask who allegedly slashed a hawk, u must have been wearing them. otherwise, u wouldn't have called it phantom ;)

joanie doesn't slash, she has a gash 8)

And I was wearing rayban, foil-encased shanny's snake-eyes, the approved shades of the NHL playoffs.

All the Lennie's are saying Torts. Time for a vacation.

  14. agreed, you cant even check people anymore. I dont get what the fuss is about. there better not be a suspension for that

Didn't think the Boychuk/Toews hit was too bad. Toews got himself in an awkward position and Boychuk came in slightly high. Now Boychuk's hit on Mason Raymond in 2011....very dirty and ugly.

Bernier to Toronto was a great move for the Leafs. Hope that Lennie doesn't blow it out or proportion and start comparing Bernier to past Leaf greats before he suits up.

Bergeron's spleen? If he can go I feel ok about tonight, if not, not so much.

Boychuk's hit wasn't that bad, I agree. The only thing that bothered me about it was that he had time to line up to destroy Toews and he went much higher than he knows he should have. Toews' movements are just as responsible for the head contact as Boychuk...if I was ruling. I only plan on complaining about the lack of suspension if the Bruins win game 6.

haha, I didn't think tow watch for that. It will be on my summer radar.

We'll probably find out more this morning.

Moving Luongo just lost some value with Toronto out of the bidding.

    MOVE SCHNEIDER!!!!

Buyout season beginning. Should be an interesting pool of talent thrown into the mix because of the buyouts. Boston can get Kaberle again if they want.

  19. mattymcgee55 Legend Patriots Bruins

i thought that would be out of the question but at this point theyd have to listen to offers. Schneider should have more value but what team(s) would realistically be in play?

  20. mattymcgee55 Legend Patriots Bruins

we'll take Kaberle and Glenn Murray. we'll only give up our next 2 1st rounders and our 1st born sons though.
