hossa has a shoulder or wrist injury, injured during warmups.

    Losing Hossa hurts bad.

    3 Stars of the Game:

    Tuuka Rask
    Hossa
    Bolland

40-16 faceoffs for the Bruins...that's not funny at all
Game not as close as the score indicated.
Smith on the ice for the first goal, no shock...where was Morin?
Roszival and Seabrook out of gas. Terrible plan by Chicago, not that it would matter, Boston outplayed them.
Bolland set up the string that lead to the 5 on 3, oh yeah, slow change by Smith too on first penalty. Nobody ready for 2nd pk pair with Hossa down.

Boston played great, took advantage and won. Julien smoked Q. Why did Sharp only get 17 minutes again?

Not too tough to watch, with best defensive forward out and best puck possession forward out, Chicago was done tonight. Wasted first period messing with line combos, wasted shift after wasted shift. Smith missed wide open Sharp, only Hawk suited that couldn't see blown coverage. Faceoff dot an absolute disaster. Rask didn't have to do much tonight, Boston defence was excellent.

My buddy Bolland, awesome line tonight. Jacobs put him on payroll.

Credit to Boston, recovered from mistakes better and took advantage of mistakes better. Solid game.

Toews is worthless for the most part.

    -Darren Millard

He's only lagging Blackhawks fans funny jokes since Mid February. At least the media shifted the Chicago pp discussion away from giving other teams credit (no offense Boston).

If Hossa is out, Chicago can't come back without Boston helping them out imo.

So many missed nets from the Hawks. Bruins did a good job of keeping the Hawks to the outside most of the night but when Chi did get bids they missed the net. Not sure ifTuomo is in their heads.

So Bollig is a top 12 F for games 1 & 2 but not top 14 for game 3? Also noticed a lack of Sharp...happily. Hes been real strong all 3 games. Krug really iffy back there again but there's no way Claude puts Bartkowski in.

And that is Hawks nation's pain

At least Hawks lose clean without giving Clode 2 games in Boston to see Chicago adjustments with Hossa down. Nobody knows what the lines will be Wed. Quenneville doesn't even know.

I have a feeling Kompon won't be invited to practice or Scotty will swing by in his limo and "give him a ride" to a quarry or something.

I really didn't think Boston was in any trouble tonight. I thought they had lots of opportunities to gamble and wisely chose not to.

  11. mattymcgee55 Legend Patriots Bruins

Bruins very capable of helping other teams out. Leafs went 7 w/ them and I think that had more to do w/ Bostons play than Torontos.

    Back to the Hossa injury.

If you were to take a poll of Hawks fans on who would be in, the vote would be split evenly among Bollig, Smith, Morin, JHayes, and Carbomb.

Nobody knows what Q will do.

  13. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

I can only hope. Can't imagine the Hossa injury is anything short of nasty. He's not a cupcake.

Not with Q on his blender! Not looking good unless kane could find some nutz and play in the centerzone and not on the boards

  15. funny u should say this. earlier today, i heard that yet another digging expedition was underway in northern oakland county for hoffa. this time, the tip comes from a known mafia guy - an "underboss", i think they said. i still doubt they'll ever find him.

  16. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

Hockey fans that followed Vancouver and Chicago (without being a fan of either team) prayed to the hockey gods that Q would share his blender with AV over the years.

  17. ooo, i might have to reassess this. the informant is the former #2 guy. and the place they're digging is close to somewhere i lived for a few months lol.

  18. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

I would say look for Kompon when he goes missing, might be a clue as to where Hoffa is.

If anybody would know, Scotty Bowman would know.

  19. Willie Head Coach Manager News & Notes Vikings

Chicago coach Joel Quenneville said after the 2-0 loss to the Boston Bruins that Hossa is "day-to-day" with an upper-body injury. There were reports that something happened to Hossa during the pregame warmup, in which he participated, but Quenneville said the injury had nothing to do with what transpired during the skate.

why do they continue down this road of severely overpaying older players? He's past 35 so this contract will surely bite them in the butt. Cant rely on the word of Holy Diver and co. but they were railing against Streit all season saying that it was obvious that he had lost a step. I like Streit but a 4 yr deal for a 35 yr old? and they gave up assets for the right to sign him before the market opened. Not dissimilar to trading for Bryz before signing him to a deal that no other team would have anyway.
