i think you owe it to him to fire him face to face. get on a plane and get over there and come back w/ in 48 hrs if you need to.

If the schedule wasn't so compressed, I think we would have seen it play out different than that. I really think it was a matter of time. I pretty much loathe everything about the Oilers front office but Krueger was there before MacTavish and he was on his way to Europe. MacTavish has to get that circus of the front office on the same page with a coaching hire and a draft and an offseason, so I would have strongly disagreed with him wasting any more time flying around around just to be nice (professional) to somebody given the circumstances. Anyway, it's still crappy to do that to somebody who had been there for a few years, but given the circumstances, I think MacTavish or Lowe was right not to fly out in person. Krueger was screwed, but then again, he screwed himself too. He was there for 3 years, he knew what he had to work with and he didn't accomplish anything. I think he knew what he was doing when he took the job.

To much to do for the next series of "Oil Change", not enough time to give hugs. If it was a regular offseason, I would raise an eyebrow at the skype-style firing. Besides, he's a Euro and EDM is in Canada, they're supposed to crap on Euros, aren't they?

lol, I would have been hockeydougs.com to match my avatar.

I'm not Bruins haterizer guy, but I don't have any Bruin fatheads either. Orr was with the Blackhawks, where he was supposed to be.

I don't know many things for certain, but I'm positive I'm not a Blues fan. STL must be squashed. Fortunately, ownership might do the heavy lifting for me by being cheap.

The more I look into it, the bleaker the picture looks for the Blues. That first round exit hurt them all over the place. The Chicago affiliation isn't going to do much to gain support from the market below Chicago either. He took Peoria from them in a money grab. Ticket sales aren't going to be as prolific as they hoped either. The lockout and disappointing year and disappointing exit is keeping money on the sidelines and it will impact extensions imo. I don't think Blues fans see it coming. They keep talking about the "cap" instead of the budget.

I had to dump on STL to prove I'm not a closet Blues fans.

I actually thought Shaw looks bigger in that picture with Chara.

explain yourself...and watch that blasphemous mouth.

looks like Chara is giving him a parental 'nice try' pat on the back.

  7. its like Bill Laimbeer on skates,or college kid v 4th grader

CHL considering a ban on import goalies? to make Canadian goalies better? so lower tier goalies that aren't better than their counterparts will get to play because of where they were born. bush. brings down the overall level of play.

  9. how about stop importing all these crap toys from China that I buy my 3 yr old and break after the first use *BRAVO*

  10. firehalo Guest

    another money-making partnership possibility?

  11. firehalo Guest

be concerned with the lead paint and other chemicals in those toys. i only feed my dog food and treats from the good 'ol USofA. the Chinese would sell you a sh!t-sandwich just to make a buck. i only go to Chinatown for sacrificial goats.

is it too early to get my game 1 predictions in: i predict a 3 OT win for the Hawks... but Lucic will score the first goal of the game.

  12. Willie Head Coach Manager News & Notes Vikings

I was going to give my game 1 prediction today...but figured I would still get it wrong some how. *CRAZY*

  13. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

Hate the European leagues...then act like them.

Good way to speed up the race to parity in international hockey. I would think the CHL would prefer to keep all the talent they could.

I wonder what really got this train rolling. Which influential uncle, dad, grandparent, had a kid who lost a spot to a european or russian goalie?

  14. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

I'm with you will. I'm still picking the Pens in 3.

  19. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

Did they get Neil Diamond for the parade?

  20. The NHL will name the regular season award winners before game 2. Maybe it's because of the shortened season? Whatever the reason it's a bit strange.

This is who I think will win each one (not necessarily who should):

    Jack Adams: Joel Quenneville
    Lady Byng: Martin St. Louis
    Selke: Jonathan Toews
    Masterton: Josh Harding
GM of the Year: Ray Shero
    Hart: Alex Ovechkin
    Lindsay: Sidney Crosby
    Vezina: Sergei Bobrovsky
    Norris: Kris Letang
    Calder: Brendan Gallagher
