Started ACC, but my school had issues in the math department. Did a summer in PAC 10 for fun, and finished at a school that didn't have a football program. Did have some graduate work at an SEC school later on. Main connection to the SEC is that my wife's grandmother owned a farm in Athens, GA. That farm had a secondary building on it that became famous - the Love Shack.
I am. I'm close enough to the Falcons complex that I have run into players at the grocery store and other places.
I went to Ohio State for three years, and then had a business opportunity that I couldn't pass up....I have a sister that graduated from Clemson. And I have family in Boone N.C., because my uncle is a teacher at App. St....I have no problem with SEC country. You know I'm just having fun. Love draft season.
The Georgia homer thing is funny because I started at Georgia Tech and did some grad work at Tennessee. So I have ties to two of their arch enemies.
My wife's grandmother would rent out the farm's secondary building to kids going to the college. One of the later ones was Kate from the B-52s, who was a newlywed. Hence the nickname the Love Shack.
Nice job! Along those lines, I started the mock in pure role playing mode and ended it going for pure value. I nailed it on the back end. Both of my UDFA signings ended up being drafted - one in the fourth round. Both of my seventh rounders were risers, with one of them also going in the 4th. My sixth rounder was also a full round riser.
Ironically, this would look like a solid draft. Notice anything? 1st - No. 21 - Jalen Reagor, WR, TCU 2nd - No. 53 - K’Von Wallace, S, Clemson 3rd - No. 103 - Prince Tega Wanogho, OT, Auburn 4th - No. 127 - Jalen Hurts, QB, Oklahoma 4th - No. 145 - Davion Taylor, LB, Colorado 5th - No. 168 - Jack Driscoll, OT, Auburn 6th - No. 196 - John Hightower, WR, Boise State 6th - No. 200 - Shaun Bradley, LB, Penn State 6th - No. 210 - Quez Watkins, WR, Southern Miss 7th - No. 233 - Casey Toohill, DE, Stanford
Thank you....Last year both my "completely ignored" were off the board before 5th round...this year wasn't as good, but I'll take it.
Anyways, popped on to make the statement that with a bit of time to reflect I think it’s official: Hunter Bryant undrafted was probably the biggest shocker for me. How late Wanogho (heard something recent about a failed knee) and Kenny Willekes went a bit surprising also.
Always a matter of perspective. There’s one or two in yours I’d still swap. K’Von/Wanogho for example, but that’s back to my shock on Wanogho.
