Thanks, Joe for the updates. I appreciated it. Allowed me to turn up the music and do less on the computer (because I stream everything) instead of watching all the talking heads. Enjoyed this draft with everybody. Good stuff!
I'm going to finish my post draft season decompression with a couple adult soda pops and sleep in tomorrow. I'll be posting up some draft grades and I'll be looking for you guys to do the same so we can talk some more shit. Good night, everyone. It's been an entertaining way to wrap this up.
I was thinking last night instead of going 1 to 32 like I did last year, I might just do like three or four good, three or four not so good, and two that are really boom-or-bust in the middle depending on whatever factors
I'm NOT gonna post any names I don't give a shit about. I didn't even care for the last one but it was the first thing I heard.
My draft for the Falcons in the mock. 1.16 K'Lavon Chaisson, EDGE, LSU 2.15 Akeem Davis-Gaither, LB, Appalachian State 4.2 Raekwon Davis, DT, Clemson 4.13 Jake Fromm, QB, Georgia 4.36 Davian Taylor, LB, Colorado 6.23 Keith Ismael, C, San Diego State 7.14 Antoine Brooks Jr, S, Maryland 7.15 Josiah Scott, CB, Michigan State UDFA Tremayne Anchrum, G, Clemson UDFA Mykal Walker, LB, Fresno State + 2021 4th round pick Real Falcons draft by real GM Thomas Dimitroff: 1.16 A.J Terrell, CB, Clemson 2.15 Marlon Davidson, DL, Auburn 3.14 Matt Hennessy, C, Temple 4.13 Mykal Walker, LB, Fresno State 4.28 Jaylinn Hawkins, S, California 7.14 Sterling Hofrichter, P, Syracuse UDFA TBD. I think I win.
Thanks. Fixed. Two other notes... I'm pretty sure Atlanta took Hofrichter as a punter rather than a kicker. Also, of more interest to us... it looks like they did NOT trade up to take the safety in the fourth. Apparently we had it wrong and the pick they got from Baltimore in the Hayden Hurst trade was 4.28 rather than 4.37.
Just for @TopDawg, since he's now convinced I'm a Georgia homer: In 2013, the SEC set the record with 40 picks in the first four rounds. This year the SEC set a new record with 40 picks in THREE rounds.
That makes Javaris Davis one of the winners of the draft. The sooner these guys get their signing bonuses to help out their families, the better.
