Is Gillmore now MVP for sealing the victory? I know the game isn't over, but we've watched 55 minutes. The Rams aren't doing squat.
If the game ended right now, it would be the lowest scoring Super Bowl ever. From what I can see, 16 points is the fewest ever by a winning team. Sorry, 14 points is the lowest score by a winner.
Goff needs to take some of blame for this lost the moment was to big him and McVay under the spotlights
Bill Belichick is a bigger coward than Sean McVay. He should have sneaked it instead of kicked it. He got the kick but he was WRONG. A 1 inch gain ends the game.
Gostkowski kicks a terrible ball. He could be 0-3 indoors kicking tonight as they have all looked that bad.
This was definitely the worst Super Bowl ever. The only redeeming quality was that it wasn't one of the blowout boring ones but one where the bad play kept it close for most of the game.
Did either team really deserve the victory today? It's hard to imagine two teams looking worse in a championship game. For as horrendous as the Rams were, the Patriots had no ability to generate even a semblance of a lead. Lowest scoring Super Bowl ever and possibly the worst game ever. Oh and the commercials we're 100% forgettable which might be the bigger tragedy!
Im not sure last year's no defense Bowl was necessarily better, more entertaining but not necessarily better play
Makes sense but at least there were plays that were made on offense that weren't just gimmes (well at least by the Eagles). I appreciate a good defensive game but the offense could have at least been decent outside a few big Michel plays and Edelman. I know the same is said for defense last year, a few big turnover plays and nothing else, but I'll take brain-dead defensive struggles in a close game over offensive struggles.
Crazy though that the #2 and #4 offenses in the highest scoring season in NFL history play in the lowest scoring Super Bowl in NFL history. And the Pats win it after losing the highest scoring SB just the year before.
both teams made plays last year, Eagles made just some big ones at the right times, specifically with trick plays. neither defense played well.
Both played trash. I still think the Pats played much better on D outside the right plays at the right time by the Eagles. Foles had to make plays, while for the most part Brady just had to stand there and threw to wide-open receivers below the coverage before the rush had time to get to him. Either way it was arguably crappy defensive performance #1 vs #2 in history. Now you got #6 and can more or less forget about that and enjoy this one. Like usual your team figured things out in the 2nd half of the season and got here despite the rough start and won it.
