Lack of talent will doom any new league. USFL was entertaining for about 5 minutes when they actually had a few good players.

It was crazy. Trump just swept in and signed Brian Sipe to a contract, right in the middle of the season. Sipe actually played his final four games with the Cleveland Browns while he was under contract with the New Jersey Generals...Truth be told, it was a bad move for Trump. Sipe was an undersized 35 year old QB who was having arm troubles his final year...Trump didn't care. He loved the "clutch gene" Sipe had with those Kardiac Kid teams. ....The love affair didn't last long...The very next year Trump decided he wanted Doug Flutie...
Sipe was a household name, but 35 back then you were pretty well washed up. That's trump, always thinking behind and not ahead.
