Anyone think Dillon Gabriel was one of the bigger reaches yesterday?

 

As we get ready to start the 5th, I'm surprised to see RBs Giddens and Martinez still available. I really like both of those guys.
I like WR no. 97 on ny's list.
And of course backup QB is still a position that needs to be addressed.
I wouldn't hate a double dip on DL or someone for the secondary (the UTSA guy I like is still available, I think)
So far (not counting DK) the picks have been defense, offense, defense. Does this mean the next one is offense?

Well if they go Offense, then I like OL. WR room is kind of already set.

 

I wouldn't have taken him, but I do think he fits certain systems or styles-- one of those guys that wouldn't be a Steeler but someone else may have loved him.

Pickens and Metcalf on the outside. Then we have Austin III and R. Wilson, Skowronek, and Scotty Miller. Miller is nothing but a body to hold a place. I would replace him in an instant. Are we convinced Wilson is stud slot? I'm not. Austin is the only outside backup we have, and he's already proven he's not special. Wilson and Skowronek are really only slot guys (and Miller is just a body to run crossing routes). There is no real depth outside, and I don't yet trust Wilson to be THE MAN inside. I'd add competition.

 

Jordan Phillips, meh, not a need or a guy I really was crazy about.

 

you know who would make sense for this role, kid out of San Jose State, Nick Nash but I would wait until 185. Tory Horton is still out there too.
