One of my bang the table guys starting at 156, depends on how deep the Safety pool is when they pick mid 5th.

Another thing that was brought up about Skattebo was, he was a one man offense for Arizona State, not a single other player was invited to the combine.
This is a write up from another site:
“As the Sun Devils’ full-time starter in 2024, he eclipsed 2,000 total yards and finished fifth in the Heisman voting. He was everything for their offense, from rushing to receiving to Wildcat quarterbacking to even punting. His mentality as a rusher is his identity. The next time he goes down on first contact will be the first. His fight and effort every time he touches the ball are noteworthy and led to very high PFF rushing grades and impressive metrics.

Skattebo also has ample experience as a receiver. His long speed and wiggle appear to be average for the NFL, but he’s all-out at all times with both. His vision shines brightest between the tackles, but he can take some mid- and outside-zone runs for big gains, too. His pass-blocking work is surprisingly erratic and inconsistent. He goes for big blocks and has some bad whiffs because of it. He needs to be more fundamentally sound there, but when he’s squared up, he has the strength to be effective.”

Good points, but translating to the pros I have my reservations. He could be a solid RB2 for the right team.

One mock to 100% avoid is Maurice Jones Drew. NFL network needs to bring back Mayock, or get a tag and dust off Charley Casserly. Some notes. McMillan going 5th ??? Hunter 7th ??? TreVion Henderson 10th ??? Omarion Hampton is his 7th rated RB . :wall: Too many CBs not enough linemen. Mason Graham @ 11, Steelers taking Dart, this seems to be a trend. Banks at 16 would be ok, if Miami didn't need an OT as The Former Golden Lion, Terron Armstead weighs retirement. No Derrick Harmon or Kenneth Grant in the first round, not realistic because DT was proven to be valuable in the Eagles dominant run to the Super Bowl.

More on Skatebo, would a smart GM draft a RB in round 3 to be a backup? Who are the bell cow backs, who can break off runs of 20+ yards, or at least have the juice to shake and bake to avoid tacklers.
Thinking Marcus Golden might be the first WR off the board, you can coach a lot of things, but not 4.2 speed. I think he is a better prospect than Worthy who ran his way to the first round. Luther Burden is now rated early second, what has changed? Does that one bad game drop a guy a half round, it's a question that was probably addressed in the combine interviews. The knock on McMillan is football was not his life, but he's good at it so he plays. That was a few years ago, but you have to wonder how committed this kid is. Then again you cannot coach 6'5".

Done some more reading, an article is one I could have written because it aligns with what I have been saying. Teams are going to reach for QB, teams are going to build the trenches and wait on CB. Edge rushers will go in bunches and I think both OL for the Buckeyes go in round 1. Grey Zabel is a great story, but teams are going to value the level of competition and put Donovan Jackson ahead of him. Tyler Booker is a beast, but if a team runs zone or pulls their guards they may not have him that high. Some team will draft Shemar Stewart pretty high, but his athleticism doesn't match his production. Nic Scourton is similar player, who put up better numbers, I want my first round pick to get to the guy with the ball. (sacks, TFL)

I cannot see the fascination with Jordan Burch, I am seeing him mocked in round 2. Is it his athleticism, rare size and speed, is he healed up? Great questions for some armchair GMs and the dedicated draft nuts. (Hi I'm, B#$%* and it's been 8 hours since I ran a simulator or read a mock draft or watched NFL network) Ok I want my 2 hours back, Path to The Draft was fucking stupid. The whole show was 65% Sanders, 30% Hunter, then 5% interesting. Back to Burch, I liked him early on, because guys 6-5 295 with 34" are
rare. and Cam Heyward needs to be replaced and have him mentor a guy before he hangs them up. I keep coming back to Derrick Harmon as the pick at 21, especially if Dart goes to New Orleans at 9, which isn't as crazy as it sounds. Back in the fall, Charley Weiss on Sirius 88 was talking up Dart, saying he was a first round talent. Dart is a little streaky for my liking but he is coming in for a visit and did attend the Senior Bowl, two very big signs Pittsburgh is very interested.

Patriots pick will set the tone for the draft. Sitting at 4, they have 3 options that anyone with a brain can come up with. Hunter, Carter, Graham. I suppose trading back is another option. Drake Maye was running for his life so they need OL help. But picking top of the second there will be a good Tackle there, Josh Conerly or Aireontae Ersery, or not? Is Will Campbell and his 32" arms worth a top 5 pick? Here is a wild card here, New England drafts Arnold Membou at 4. The more I think of it, NE trades back, and takes an OT. Would Mike Vrabel pass on one of the afore mentioned defenders I listed as possible picks?

My surprise pick in my final mock will have a third TE go in round 1. Some team is going to fall in love with Mason Taylor. Most sites have a huge gap between Loveland and Taylor, but I don't see it that way. Remember last year when I was very high on Ben Sinnot who went in the 50's, he was projected late day 2 early third. Could it be the Chiefs replacing Travis Kelce, that would make sense. Also drafting Derrick Harmon to replace Chris Jones makes sense too, as does getting OL help to keep Mahomes clean. Looking at mocks, it seems like OT is a popular pick. Weirder things have happened too, could Coleston Loveland fall to 31, not impossible. He is as close to Brock Bowers as you will find in this class, but he's not Bowers, he is just a freak and a generational talent. If you were in NYC and wanted a knockoff Rolex, and found a guy selling watches with a trench coat and sunglasses and you are sitting there at the bottom of round 3, then Harold Fanin Jr. is your guy. One of the reasons Cam Ward was so successful was Restrepo in the slot, and Arroyo running wide open down the seam. Medical could push Arroyo down some boards, I am not a Doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. Restrepo ran an uninspired 4.8, but claimed he was fighting a hamstring. Put on the tape he is productive. runs good routes but for me give me a WR with speed who has a really good 3 cone like Jaylin Lane. The knock on Jaylin Layne is he sells out on routes no suddenness. But his 3 cone was 3rd highest at the combine, and he only caught 38 balls in 2024. He is a very good returner so he has value on ST. QB play at Va was shitty to be polite, and Restrepo had Ward feeding him the ball, so there's that. Will be interesting to see who goes off the board first.

Raiders just released CB Jack Jones, this effects mock drafts given their thin CB room. All those mocks having Hunter falling, he is NOT getting past Las Vegas. Who is higher on your board, Hunter or Jeanty, I have Hunter because of his position he is likely to play much longer than Jeanty. Jeanty has been the Raiders pick at 6 in almost every mock, they just gave Geno Smith a 2 year deal, I am thinking at 37 they might draft a QB if the guy they really like is still there. Raiders have a pick in every round and three 6th rounders, so some capital to move around. Past Hunter, would they take Will Johnson at 6 especially when they feel like TreVeon Henderson will likely be there at 37, deeper pool of RB and then wait on QB, take Will Howard or similar at pick 68 or 108? I think we may have the same scenario as 2022, teams wait until round 3 to take a QB, given the mediocrity of the pool regardless of what "draft experts" say. Are the Raiders crazy enough to move back into the first for Jalen Milroe?

My board is coming together nicely, my pound the table guy list will come out AFTER the next collaborative. I think some of yinz already know most of them.
I am going to start mocking JJ Pegues more often a prospect who was part of the 30 man visit very early on. A real run stuffer with 3.5 sacks and 13.5 TFL, he has twitch. Here is something most don't know, Mississippi used him in short yardage as a FB resulting in 21 rushes for 69 yards and 7 TD.

Side note here Jalen Milroe invited to Draft.
Is a team going to trade back up into the first to get him? I am already stocking up on popcorn :PC:to see another Brady Quinn or Aaron Rodgers mope fest.

^ not realistic, trade back back back, but with 9 picks it was easy to make some of these choices. Don't sleep on Kyle Williams, shifty little productive guy.

If you don't have NFL Network and watch ESPN, how can anyone stand that show First Draft? Kiper is annoying, but this Field Yates dude might be worse. Add in Mike Greenberg, the average talking ESPN Assclown and it's barely watchable. I do not get their fascination with Carson Schwesinger . One year of being good and these jagovs have him rated last first rounder. I really like Demetrius Knight, put on the Alabama tape, I am very high on a lot of South Carolina Defenders. The knock on Knight is his age, he's married with 2 kids, so maybe more mature, great topic for discussion.

I think the consensus the Steelers drafting an OL somewhere in the draft, I don't see pick 83 as the target. With the first two picks it's going to be DT, RB, QB two of these three.
Depending on the rankings you have or follow, there are 10 OT that fall in the 100-225 overall rankings and 5 OG. My best guess is pick 123 or 156. I like the WR pool better in the 150-250 range. And if they go RB DT and QB then you really start with pick 156. My favorite OT is Charles Grant out of William & Mary, but he will likely be gone when they start thinking OT.
185 is another spot for OL and I am not sure you want to wait until 229. One factor to consider is they just resigned OT Calvin Anderson. With the loss of Nate Herbig, who rarely played at all, I wonder if they draft an OG like Joshua Gray out of Oregon State, a player I have mocked several times.

  16. nybites M.V.P. Steelers UCONN

I don't like it either, This guy is an Ohio State homer. Egbuka has slid in recent rankings, he's just not Marvin Harrison Jr. or Jerimiah Smith. Howard I am luke warm on, does not WOW me. Waiting until 123 is retarded for DL, and they double dip at 185 Peuges won't be there at 185. Opened up the article could not find the 229 pick. Steelers need another OL and a CB, best thing you can do is open up the Steelers depth chart and see where the holes or weaker players are. Not a fan of Brian Retardo, ChrisTrepasso is even worse. Trepasso does have a 7 round mock out, that is a major effort, I've done it a few times, maybe this year because the simulator does help. But.......... Trepasso has Pittsburgh jumping up from 21 to 19 to get Harmon, giving up 83, 185 Their next pick is 123. This is Fucking Stupid. To round out the mock 123. Luke Kandra OG Cinn. 156. Brady Cook QB Missouri 229. Jackory Crosket-Merrit RB Arizona. So it's bad enough they had 6 picks, so they go with 4 picks.???????? DT OG QB RB no CB, S, WR, OT It's a piece of shit.

and don't get me started on Pete Pisshole, his mock, Derrick Harmon isn't even going in round 1. Coleston Loveland at 6. We used to hate this buttwipe when we were on CBS from 2007-13.

More Bullshit from CBS, Ryan Wilson's mock.

Players not taken in round 1. Will Johnson, Derrick Harmon, Omarian Hampton, Jaxson Dart (I agree with the ranking but some chucklefuck GM is going to take him) Mike Green going 8th (not with his indiscretions) Jeanty going 20th, Kenneth Grant going 13th. What is in the water over at CBS, Mescaline?

  19. nybites M.V.P. Steelers UCONN

I think we can be reasonable and say Don't want him but we cannot ignore the need of position. Here is my short list of who would make sense.

    Derrick Harmon
    Will Johnson
    Matthew Golden
    Malaki Starks
    Nic Emmanwori
    Omarian Hampton
    Kenneth Grant
    Jahade Barron
    Walter Nolen
    Jaxson Dart
    Emeka Egbuka

Some outliers here could be some fallers, that you would never expect at 21 Like Sanders, Tet McMillan, or K. Banks.
Then their board might include some fringe first round guys they have a higher grade on like Trey Amos (just came in for a visit) and Luther Burden.

watched path to the draft, and they had two sleepers I may move up on my board. Edge rusher from Central Arkansas David Walker and RB from Rutgers Kyle Monangai. At least the whole show was not about Shedeur Fucking Sanders, a large part, but not the whole show. This shit is getting OLD FAST. At this point I hope he falls, so we have another Will Levis, Brady Quinn, or Aaron Rodgers mope fest. :SEP::PC:

I like who you highlighted above. Apparently Will Johnson is going to have a pro day at Michigan now that he’s healed from his hamstring injury. He better be healed, this could really hurt his draft stock otherwise. I think there must be grumblings of him falling further than he and his agent like, because I was still tracking him making it to the middle of the 1st round, think this is a big risk, hope it pays off, although I liked him falling to 21.

“At this point I hope he falls, so we have another Will Levis, Brady Quinn, or Aaron Rodgers mope fest.” What do you think the Steelers should/ will do if he’s there at 21? If Aaron never comes to the Steelers, him coming I would expect there will be lots of chatter to replace Rudolph after his 1st pick…. BTW, you might want to listen to the NFL network tomorrow, apparently he’s coming in for a visit. At least they’re doing their due diligence.
