yes time will tell and track record is frankly of no significance as drafts change, you have most of the people who do the draft thing on a yearly basis saying that this kid could be money. In most people's eyes he was close to the highest rated LB in the draft (again inside) and i agree that he could not work out but it still doesnt change the reality of it all. He could have gone in the top 20 and his talent and upside would have justified it easy, no one would have said a word if PIT took him even in the first, as he is that good on paper from an evaluation stand point, not to say i think he will be better than JJ or anything but the pick would have been fine there, we got him over 30 picks later or something. so yes, THUS FAR, he is the steal or pick of the draft for me.

All I know about him is that he came in for a visit. Anyone have a scouting report?

    19, 53, 78, 38, 72, 81, 100 - I'm all over the field, but I'd be happy with either of them.

  6. I hope so but is he on the steelers board?

    38, 50, 72 and 74 are the guys I want.

I'm glad he's gone. Now here's hoping that the Jets take someone outside of our range.

i think Steelers go WR here. 38, 81 with 38 being a good value pick

  10. Jets could take 50

Whatever 2k. All I did was give you another perspective, two guys that are highly respected on this board and in the NFL. I respect your opinion on the guy. Just think you are going over the top with things like "steal of the draft" and "could have gone in the top 20". If he could have, he would have. But five teams thought there were better ILBs out there including Jon Bostic and Kiko Alonso.

Your opinion is noted. My opinion is he faced questionable competition and that would at least force me to take a measured approach. Only time will tell.

    38 would be a steal at 79

I think the Bills just lost their guy and all thanks to swapping 3rds in the Rams trade.

"Spit take", What?!?! Ozzie's always been able to find good MLBs. Injuries were a problem this year and we had a special teamer (Ayenbadejo) that Ozzie didn't draft trying to play MLB alongside an inexperienced player with a lot of upside in Banks.

  17. i dont know if he was a steal but i wanted him for the steelers pick
i think it was great value when the ravens picked

Hey dont take this as a perosnal attack im simply engaging you in discourse. i think you are wrong and so do a few of the others here. and im sorry but i said THUS FAR. i dont think he will be the steal overall but 2-3 rounds in...tell me which pick is better? Cos i think id get a fair bit of support from your own steeler bretheren that side wiht me in saying we got tonnes of value and talent right there. and if he could have he would have? you dont really think thats how it works right? anyone can go anywhere, people are downright stupid and people slide all the time, im sure there are some medical issues etc but not to warrant such idiocy of passing on him for me and many others.

im not saying he is the second coming, not even saying he makes numerous pro bowls or will even be an amazing starter, just that from a pure draft perspective- that was one hell of a pick and in my mind, up to this point in the draft, the best pick made.
