After this season me thinks they may go QB earlier than expected. Not round 1 but if Kenny ain’t da man you gotta shop
around (Smokey Robinson reference) . If he improves then you target the best RT (Fuagua) to bookend with Jones @ LT. Chucks will be a cap casualty perhaps. Kahn and Weidl are trench builders

I can live with this. One note it’s very WR OT heavy and leaves out Verse Latu and JT Edge Rushers that ain’t happening IMHFO

There's this young man who played at BGSU just down the road from me who is a great talent on the Defensive Line... Karl Brooks. The Vikings have a meeting scheduled with him and he looks like the real deal. Solid on QB pressure and a run stopper. He's got NFL size to; 6'4" and 300. He's got speed and power for a big man... would instantly fit on the Edge. He had a fantastic Senior Bowl and whas still snubbed to get called to the Combine. I really want the Vikings to capture this guy... he's going to be great somewhere, might as well be in Minnesota. Hope the meeting goes well.

 

LIke LeShon Williams RB Iowa, has burst and power. It was a tough game to watch. Copper DeJean no further opinions since he's out for the season. Nebraska has two DT's that are impressive, man they really make it hard to run up the middle. .

 

8:30 PM I will be watching Oregon vs. Oregon State. Need another look at OT Fuagua, one site DraftWire has him lower than some LT's. Oregon has a DT5 Burch I wanna make more notes on. Darius is a DT3 but worth watching, Steelers need Young DL talent to pair up with Benton.
Best WR in the game will be Franklin as beach posted top of the page, he plays for Oregon not Oregon State. Get your popcorn ready. Side note FUCK THE JETS I HATE THE TEAM, THE FANS, THE COACH, NEW JERSEY, Glad they got their ass kicked. Getting Aaron F. Rodgers made me hate them even more.

 

Watching Penn State Michigan state, taking another look at King and Chop Robinson, who can drop into coverage. Well until 8:30 pm. Not mentioning Fashanu because he is a top 5 pick and PIttsburgh will have slim to no chance at drafting him.

 

Switching games, really liked RB Singleton RB Penn. State.

Someone call a whaaambulence for Ryan Day. Boo F'n hoo, MIchigan was better. Watching the Apple Bowl, like Carson Bruener as an ILB for 2025, and for Wazu really liking Brennan Jackson probably goes undrafted, but he has a motor. These are the hidden gems, the regulars are playing their game, Penix Jr. isn't sharp. Odunze is a beast.

 

Watching Iowa State vs. K. State, Snowing like a muther Fucker. First play Cyclones, Abu Sama just ran 71 yards untouched in a blizzard. Upstate: Freshman than ran for a 77 yard TD, and followed it up with a 60 yarder. Crazy, and he's a freshman,

From what I saw this weekend and my general thoughts on QB rankings, gotta drop Penix.,
Maye, Williams, Nix, McCarthy, Penix, Daniels.
If Pittsburgh drafts a QB day 3, I like Pratt, Beck, Ward.

 

Steelers will not draft a QB and that was even before he threw for 278 today they are all in on kenny

 

Well I posted that before PIckett threw over the middle. I think my vote was right on the survey I started, the issue was Canada. And don't forget I said IF they draft a QB which we both agree now seems unlikely.
Was there anyone you saw over Friday and Saturday you thought stood out? I did watch 4-5 games and I would like to more imput on here so we can get a better board. Right now I have about 100 names, example some guys I have yet to see play like Quinyon MItchell, have not seen Toledo play. 20 or so of my list I got through reading mocks on Depot, BTSC, LiveWire, CBS Sports (I prefer Trapasso). I look at about 4-5 mocks a day as they come out to see who's rising and falling. This is the sight that gives me access to all the latest mocks and a consensus mock.

I come back on here and very few suggestions other than mine pop up, gets frustrating. I post a lot more on Depot because of the feedback and knowledge I get. Some of those guys actually go to the combine and interview guys. I post here due to loyalty and friendships I have made since I joined CBS in 2007. Lots of guys have stopped posting, things change.

 

I don’t watch much college football. I can say one thing. UGA has NFL level players at just about every position.

So if we look at this one, along with others everyone is locked onto Williams, Harrison, Maye in that order, mostly followed by Fashanu. You have to ask 5 questions:
1. Are the Bears happy with Justin Fields.
2. Will someone jump The Patriots to get Maye or Williams?
3. As good a player as Marvin Harrison Jr. is, is he worth the #2 overall pick. This draft will feature 4 WR who will be your #1 receiver. Harrison, Odunze, Nabors, Coleman. All these guys are rated top 15. If I were a team needed talent and more picks I would slide back if possible and still wind up with a stud WR and maybe even get a really good OT. Emeka could slide because of these better players.Plus the two Texas WR followed by 5 other guys all with a 2nd round grade.
4. If you look at depth in this draft, very good OT, QB, WR, Edge class. But TE class is weak so how high does Brock Bowers go I mean after him it's one day 2 guy and everyone else is day 3.
5. Opinions vary, and over the last 2-3 drafts we all bought the hype of all these QB going early. Past Maye and Williams the next 4 guys could go anywhere from pick 5 to the 3rd round.

This draft gives us DeJean over Fuagua. I would have to know the medical on DeJean's lower left leg before I say yes. DeJean does offer great PR ability and if you remember Noll had Woodson doing that early in his career. Not comparing the two, just saying consider versatility. Fuagua is a RT only type of player, not quick enough to be on the left, but the dude is a beast. If by chance the second best CB falls, kid out of Clemson Wiggins, you take him. I am hoping that teams load up on WR, OT, and QB early giving Pittsburgh a blue chipper for the secondary. Then again it's Weidl and Kahn, build the trench mentality, that is why Fuagua is in play for me.

 

Ive seen some mocks with him going top 10. Which would be stupid you dont draft TEs or RBs that high the value isnt worth it.

 

Pitts taken 4th overall is not setting the league on fire so you are correct. But late first early second Kincaid and LaPorta to
Me they look like difference makers.
