Ppl factor in this draft. Sure Joey Porter Jr. Is a name that comes up @ 17 a lot but what about 32? FYI Tuli Tuipulotu has a brother Marlon who Andy Weidl drafted 2 years ago for the Eagles. Tuli is taller and more talented and has prototypical size for a 5 technique 6-4 290.

Thoughts? Simpson won’t be there at 49, I
Like Bell but he waits too long for DL Byron Young @ 119. When does Benton go or Pickens or Brooks ? I have CB’s rated higher than Tyrique Stevenson . ( Phillips, Smith,Forbes, Banks) 7th round ok crapshoot he does cover Edge and depth at DT just not wild about the picks both could be UDFA’s

 

Combine is a week away predictions?
Steve Avila and Mazi Smith are going to test strong. Dell is going to smoke the 40 and the 3 cone. Darius Rush will run faster than his teammate Cam Smith. Porter Jr. Will look avg in the back pedal but Forbes and Gonzalez will crush it.

 

Another tidbit to think about. There is a saying amongst scouts heard it from
DJ & Bucky “Don’t draft CB’s from PSU” . I think he’s stiff I got Gonzalez ahead of Porter Jr. but they have no love for Cam Smith who I like .

 

Possible UDFA or late round flyer, Andrew Farmer OLB Lane college. Steelers showed interest at the HBCU combine.

Ray Fittipaldo just had an interview and he’s saying don’t discount CB @17. I think we all now the big 3 but there are a lot of mocks putting Forbes, Stevenson, even Banks & Phillips in round 1. Let’s be real even with a run on CB no way are 7 being drafted in the first 31 picks. If anything you may have 5 OT’s. I see a run on TE and edge starting at 33 and I’m betting my left maple nut a quality CB will be sitting @ 49 if thy go OL and DL with their first 2 picks. My dream scenario is that someone wants a guy like Hooker or Richardson and Pittsburgh can move back to pick up a 5th rounder and fill that 119-236 hole .

Common denominator in most mock these 4 players do not go
In round 1. Cam Smith, Trenton Simpson,Zay flowers, Jahmir Gibbs. At 32 some team will covet one of these players, I can see a trade down unless they like Smith or Simpson, doubtful they target RB or WR @ 2-1. Steelers have contacted both South Carolina CB’s @ the combine( Smith & Rush) I like both players

 

I know he’s not really tall but the edge out of northwestern 6-1 3/4 ran 4.54 @ 280 the dude is jacked and we should take another look at the kid.

maybe revisit YA YA Diaby too. Looked very fluid in drills.

Which is why Sanders or Simpson makes sense at pick 32. I had sewel at 72 on my board but keep in mind there are no QB or RB in my top 75. My first RB is Achaine he is 97 on my board . I undervalue RB for a reason not a need and although it’s a great TE class I do t even think it’s a consideration until 236 unless they lose Gentry or they trade back in round 2 to
Pick up a 5th rounder.

 

Roc, my man z Karl Brooks was a combine snub but how did the day 2-3 DL guys look? Specifically Dexter, Pickens, Young, Turner, Wooden, Benton. I am a big time Tuli fan I’ll bang the table for him.

 

I thought Dexter, Pickens, wooden, &Benton all did well in drills. If you’re talking Cameron Young, he looked stiff didn’t move well. Didn’t catch Turner.

need to look into Dante Stills and Jalen Redmond they have pretty fast 10 times, both had around 1.71 10 yard split. Both were fluid in drills.

 

I know you’re not a big Van Ness guy but this guy is a TJ clone.

 

Just saw a mock on seebs that had Carter fall and the Steelers ran to the podium to turn in his card.

 

A speeding ticket last fall 89 in a 45. NOw 104 mph with a fatality. . 21 year old entitled idiot.I got to wonder if he’s a hard worker or just relies on natural talent. If the latter then handing him $$$ guaranteed is a concern.

Well another Georgia idiot Stetson Bennett was arrested for public drunkenness 3 days ago. He was pounding on doors then hid when the cops showed up. He’s 25 and now I have maturity concerns . I wonder if he goes undraftef now unless the Bengals or Raiders take him late . I wonder if back to back championships has gone to the Bulldog players heads? Hope not I’m a fan of The Big O, Darnell Washington.

 

Stock down on Tuli
Tuipulotu, measured in at 6-3 266. That’s ILB SIZE NOT DL . Bummed . Listed at 6-4 290. But Zach Pickens checked a lot of boxes im moving him up a half round. Gervin Dexter measured well, Steelers definitely need Yourh on the DL. Loudermilk has not impressed me and Leal it’s too early to fully judge him. If Larry O walks then DT is a huge need in the draft or free agency. I hope Kahn addresses ILB can’t go into the draft with Jack and Robinson. Spillane may be back but he’s a liability in coverage.

 

could TULI be used as a OLB, might still be good get, he didn’t run a 40 @ the combine. I agree with you on the DL.
