Roc, i did not. I think RR1 likes that kid a lot, id ont think he is bad but i much rather have Elam, i had Elam and Kenny right neck and neck i actually think Elam is the better FS, i think Kenny is a better SS and play in the box better. I honestly lost count in the last 5-8 picks and didnt think Elam was even on the board so im pretty stoked. this sets us up very nicely for tomorrow- i wont be shocked at all if we pick 4 times tomorrow.

Bust no.. but best pick?? I look at an OL that will play ten plus years vs a Rb that may see four.. I just don't like Rb's in the first..unless a truly special back..

I can understand that point of view totally, but I do not follow the logic in calling a guy that was one of the best RBs in football when healthy a bust.

 

Mano, with no true #1 Wr and Miller's injury Eifert makes sense. Haley used Miller a ton last year and even if Eifert were #2 for a couple of year he would be #1 soon after and have a longer better career than JJ.

I'm not sure who called Mendy a bust but where is he now?

 

RB's are a dime a dozen if your 5 guys up front are quality.

 

Never called him a bust.. just never liked the pick..

 

Somewhere else because they couldn't afford him. The way you always rip on that pick sure makes it sound like it is calling him a bust.

 

Look at old Bam Morris.. I agree.. better line weaker back vs better back weak line...

To be fair to rarebreed, he didn't call Mendenhall a bust:

He just stated what FoT also wrote, that he did not think those players were necessarily BPA. Rather, that the Steelers thought they were BPA at the time...

 

until he gets run over like Bob Sanders.

 

yeah those are my grades, a lot of solid B's, not hating on anyone but the Giants, Bears, and Cowboys for reaching big time.

 

Jones had 4 sacks vs. the Gators in 2011 and then a year later had 3 more. He played the Alabama line and had 2 more. Watching him in the Florida game reminded me so much of James. Played with great hands and arm extension, stood his blocker up and then found the ball - consistently.

Lots of people (including me) said Von Miller would struggle against the run but when you watch him it's not true because of how strong his hands are. Same story with Jarvis. Stacks, sheds and stops the ball carrier in the backfield.
