I was wrong about Pickett and Pickens. I still like Travis Jones let’s see what he does in a Fruity Tooty Purple uniform.

upload_2022-9-13_16-53-34.jpeg At least we didn't draft any OSU QB’s.

Do this for all of the top schools.. just doing a quick look. Alabama has had 2 QBs make a pro bowl, Michigan 1, Pitt 1, Penn State 1…

doesn’t mean a lot. You never know where a player is going to come from.

?!!!! WTF are you talking about. Michigan has had one QB make the pro bowl granted but he like made 15 of them. Stanford has had a few: Plunkett, Elway, Luck

So concentrate on only drafting QBs from Stanford and I think you’ll start to see my point.

It’s a useless stat to throw up that OSU hasn’t had a QB make the pro bowl… so what, less than 10% of QBs drafted become multi-year starters, let alone pro bowlers. It’s also useless to think there will never be a pro bowler come from that school. Stroud might become the first, ignore him because of the logo he wore in college?! Pretty dismal view.

    Bad news...

As Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt continues to recover from a pectoral injury suffered in Week One, his return will be delayed by an injury that he suffered in the preseason.

According to ESPN.com, Watt recently had arthroscopic knee surgery.

The procedure traces to a low hit Watt absorbed from Lions tight end T.J. Watt in the preseason finale. Watt brushed off the injury at the time, explaining that he could have kept playing in the game during which it occurred.

It’s unclear whether Watt aggravated the knee injury during his absence related to the partially torn pec.

The surgery reportedly will delay Watt’s return by at least a week or two. He may not be back until after the team’s Week Nine bye.

The hit prompted Watt to wonder what he could do, if anything, to avoid similar blocks in the future. Within the tackle box, offensive players are allowed to administer a block below the waist. Teammate Cam Heyward has asked for more protection for defensive players in those situations.

The knee surgery means that the Steelers could be without Watt for the full extent of an upcoming stretch of challenging contests against the Bills, Buccaneers, Dolphins, and Eagles.

The Steelers are 0-7 when Watt doesn’t play. They are 14-point underdogs at Buffalo on Sunday. If they can’t win without him, they’ll be 1-7 at the bye.

Season over. Tomlin will finally have a losing season . Good news is that we will have a high draft pick to add a stud player next draft. Watt will be back and we have a really good QB in Pickett. Next season the Steelers will be super great.

They just have to make sure they don't lose sight of what their needs are. O line isn't that deep in this draft. If a great one is on the board, take him. Don't hope for some project in round three.

What if there’s a great WR available? Just kidding. A good dline man like Donald would go a long ways too.

They are going to have to nail every draft pick plus free agent signing to be super great.

Watching the Michigan vs Penn St. game #90 Mike Morris looks like a guys that is our type of DLINE 6-6 292+(I never really believe the college weight) This kid is a senior, has 5 sacks, sets the edge real well against the run. What’s his projection?

I found one that said fifth round but that was preseason I think. Most other sites just said rising for his draft projection.

I’m guessing he goes somewhere between 2-3. More than likely early to mid 3, but the kid just works. He was very fortunate to see how Hutch did it last year, which has greatly benefited him for this year.

It would be nice to trade Claypool for something before the deadline, play Austin and Boykin. Need to get as many picks as possible.

    I dunno man , Claypool
Was huge yesterday. Trading Rudolf now there’s value, but if Pickett is out vs. Miami he might actually dress.

Claypool has so much physical ability that he intrigues me. I'm thinking like you here. I'd stick with him.

He's cheap right now be silly to trade him unless someone just offers way above his value.

I would take a second for him, no less. I would be extremely pissed if we took a third or worse because we could have drafted Dobbins and been better off. I want extra second to beef up the trenches.
