It's always a handful of people that phuque things up for the majority. Miss the days when you could objectively evaluate your team without trying to find something wrong in every move or engaging in dumb azz conspiracy theories.

I miss the burghball training camp reports, ny bashing kiper, mano correcting everyone on proper etiquette, beach being beach and so many more than I can list right now. We are Steelers brethren and this shouldn’t have been torn up like this.
    Monty python references.

I moved and don’t have NFL network ESPN got lit up on Twitter for the worst draft coverage ever. In a nutshell they focused on tragedy in the prospect’s lives instead of an informative narrative. Trey Wingo blows goats actually worse than Brady Qunt. Miss Mayock he was the best.

Dotson was a solid pick he’s great in a phone booth. I guess the value was there when they took Highsmith. McFarland is boom or bust they’re still trying to find a scat back. I actually like the Maryland safety to come in and compete for Barron’s vacated spot.

I agree, we need to start talking about the possible future of our favorite team and do it with class and dignity. We don’t need to be chewing each other out about someone’s thoughts or opinions about the team.

I’m watching the OSU/Clemson game and I like what I’m seeing out of Sermon and Buckert, I didn’t look to see if they’re eligible to come out but if they are I wouldn’t mind seeing those 2 in a Steelers uniform.

Sermon reminds me of Henry, we need a bruising back. Seems like he’s got better hands than Henry and can catch the ball out of the backfield as well.

Buckert, if his hands can be this reliable is comparable to Heath. 6-5 250 need a couple all around TE’s.

I guess we should take a strong look at who we’ll be losing via Free Agency and where our glaring weakness lies.

Is Dupree the biggest “Must re-sign”?
    One of the tackles?
    Hilton?
    Will Ben keep playing?

As tough a pill as it is to swallow, I think they might let JuJu walk?

The way the Steelers find WR talent, I don't think JuJu is a big priority.

Dupree is a tough one to keep because of the price. Alualu should be in the budget and Hilton too. Spillane adds depth.

I think they'll be Ok. They draft and coach well.

True. But a lot of how they allocate resources this off-season may come down to how open Ben is to committing to another season.

I would love them to resign Bud, he compliments TJ so well, I like highsmith but don’t think he’s quite ready to start yet. Still need better depth.

I see the Oline as the biggest weakness on this team now, a line who can’t push the LOS isn’t a good line in my opinion.
I think Villanueva will retire next year.
I’m not sure about Feiler, you want to put the best OL out there, don’t like him as a guard thought he was a better OT. Not entirely sure if he’ll be back.
I think we have a good chance of keeping Banner on a long deal, due to his injury. Hopefully this isn’t a injury prone person.
I do see the OL as a must in the draft.

Me personally, I like Hilton better than Sutton. I think he’s a better all around player. Sutton doesn’t play the run as well and not a good blitzer. Unfortunately I think he’ll cost too much.

Ben said he’ll finish out his contract. I still don’t think we have the future franchise QB on our team now.

I think we need a good all around TE on the team.

Alualu is 34, you think he’s got more in the tank?

The price is going to be everything with bud, coming off an ACL.

Not sure if they’ll be ok next year. I think a lot of it will depend on how the rookies play.

  12. dirk275 Franchise Player Steelers

Alualu for 1 more. I think Dupree, ACL or not, has played himself out of the resigning range.

In a strange way, I kind of wonder if Ben retiring would help them. They'll get some cap relief. Bulk up the o line, get a real RB and maybe a tier 3 QB. The D should be good again.

I was really impressed with Sermon last night.
I liked Etienne a lot more but after last night I think Sermon might be better.

Will Dupree be as good as he was after his ACL recovery?

That's the million dollar question. I think some team with lots of cap room makes an offer. I don't think the Steelers should franchise him.

There really is no plan until this question is answered. His roster bonus is due March 15 so unless he agrees to push that back the answer will come early.

Personally, I'm ready to move on from Ben. But I was ready years ago. He simply hasn't delivered a performance commensurate with his pay. Quarterbacks who are / may be available in March:

    Dak Prescott
    Philip Rivers
    Jacoby Brissett
    Mitch Trubisky
    Andy Dalton
    Cam Newton
    Jameis Winston
    C.J. Beathard
    Matt Stafford
    Sam Darnold
    Matt Ryan
    Jimmy Garoppolo
    Alex Smith
    Marcus Mariota

If Ben really does want to win he would restructure (if that’s possible) his contract. It’s BS when he says he comes back for the guys and to win, he came back for the money and until he’s willing to restructure and take less pay I won’t believe anything else he says

Stafford really intrigues me. I know he's a bit older but he's really got a great arm. Underrated in my opinion.

I think if Ben Truly wanted to go after a SB, he should take a pay cut, otherwise it’s this year or nothing, and it will be time to rebuild.
