To be completely honest. I didn't love the Watt and Schuster picks. However, I understood Watt and think he can be good. Not so much on Schuster, only pick I didn't really like. But I think, Sutton, Dobbs, Conner and Allen are all good NFL quality players. Favorites are Sutton, Conner and Allen

Man we are 100% on the same vibe right now, you and me, that's exactly what I think.

Well that is definitely a first. Good job Steelers front office in my opinion. Go Pats!

  4. I didn't like the schuster pick either at the time but only because of his position. I felt there was more pressing needs. The player is actually really good and complements the other receivers. Brown, Bryant and schuster, with green and bell is literally as good as it gets.

The Vikings took Bucky Hodges with the 201st pick in the 6th round.

The Steelers select Colin Holba in the 6th round.

Bottom line, they couldn't have waited till the 7th rd for a long snapper or make him a UDFA?

We blew a pick on a long snapper?

I mean..Greg Warren IS 35. Remember the last time he got injured and we had to put Deebo in there? I'm cool with a 6th round pick if we get younger at that position.

There has to be a reason they selected a LS. In this round. Can't wait to find out.

Btw: Shuster is a very good payer. I have watched every college game he has played. (USC fan) He is strong and has great hands. He is excellent at going up for the ball and coming down with it (he times his jump excellently and draws many PI's) I don't see much of that with the Steelers. He is an immediate upgrade over Wheaton and Rogers. Don't think the Steelers get him in round 3. He does remind me a lot Anquan Boldin or a shorter Calvin Johnson. Solid, tough football player period. I haven't really seen that diva label something else gave him.

    Take care,

I'm not questioning his consistency, I'm saying at the age of 35 injury has to be in the back of their minds. Why NOT get younger if he can do the job the same?

  16. mlmeng16 Guest

And your right - if he can do the same job.

The belief by some is that Holba could have been signed after the draft.

And that is what I'm thinking if not him then another long snapper just feel like its wasted pick but that is just MHO.
