Davis Webb, QB outta Cal, is supposed to be moving up the draft fast and some mocks have Houston grabbing him......

  3. I hope that one of those remaining visits is Jordan Willis. Thus far the steelers have shown zero interest in him which doesn't bode well for my hopes of drafting him.

Typically out of those guys listed above there will be around 4 guys selected so who's your 4 guys right now? I think Joshua dobbs, rasul Douglas, josh jones and derek rivers have a great chance of being selected by the steelers. Also got a feeling marlon Humphrey may slide to the steelers pick.

these were there final 3 visitors:

The Pittsburgh Steelers are now in the process of closing out their 2017 pre-draft visitors and on Wednesday they hosted three defensive players.

According to Bob Labriola of steelers.com, Utah edge-rusher Pita Taumoepenu and Georgia Tech defensive ends Francis Kallon and Patrick Gamble are all visiting with the team on Wednesday.

Taumoepenu, who measured in at the scouting combine at 6012, 243-pounds, ran the 40-yard-dash in 4.67 seconds. He recorded 73 total tackles to go along with 21.5 sacks in the 46 games that he played at Utah that included him starting just seven times as he was mostly used as a pass rushing specialist. There?s a decent chance he goes undrafted.

As for Kallon, he measures in at 6-5, 294-pounds. He recorded 37 total tackles in the 34 games he played in at Georgia Tech and that included two sacks in 2016. Kallon was named the overall lineman MVP of the Tropical Bowl. He will more than likely go undrafted this year.

Gamble, who measures in at 6-4, 277-pounds, recorded 123 total tackles in the 46 career games that he played in at Georgia Tech and that included 8.5 sacks. Gamble, like the other two players who visited on Wednesday, could ultimately wind up going undrafted.

To answer your question, I'm thinking they take Conner with their Comp pick in the 3rd,
Golloday in the 4th or 5th, not sure where he's projected. If we go OLB in the first then Rivers is out of the equation, if we go DB,TE in the first then we select him in the 2nd. Tanoh Kpassagnon with our first 3rd round pick.

Some mocks have the Steelers taking Lawson at LB. He has a really good scout bio. That would be Dupree on one side and Lawson on the other who is a sack specialist and strong. Many have them taking Peppers.....Lawson is being compared to Lamar Woodley before he signed that fat contract when he moved on and became lazy.........

Yeah, me personally very busy with my job, so I have rarely been on here. I notice the top posters from the past are now gone. Too bad. Anyway, I have seen a couple of drafts predicting the Steelers will take a QB with the first pick. At first I thought no way. However, they will need to draft Ben's successor at some point soon. If one of the top 3 QBs is available at or near the #30 pick, will the Steelers take him or trade up to get him? Patrick Mahomes has a major league arm and seems to be a pretty smart football player. Opinions?

Nobody really has Mahomes ahead or Trubisky or the Clemson QB......I brought up, that the Steelers should start looking for a successor to Ben quite awhile ago.........At least try develop one.....Any QB drafted is supposed to take a couple years to develop in this years draft. So I don't see how any team can pick one in the 1st round if they need an impact player right away.....I also think they are all risks for a 1st round pick. Teams are so desperate for a top QB that they'll take a chance. Unless a team has the Broncos defense of a couple years ago or the Ravens defense of 2000 with Dilfer at QB, theres no way a team can win without a decent QB....

Not sure if he knows something, but Chidobe Awuzie is wearing black and gold.

DeShone Kizer is my wish for a first round draft pick.

Kid should keep that sh!t to himself. He might fall in the wrong hands.

I've been so disconnected from what know-nothing pundits are saying about the draft that I've forgotten how stupid they sound when they talk (watching NFL Network coverage).

Be happy. I'm stuck watching ESPN. If I had hair, I'd probably end up pulling it out by pick 6.

Also, happy draft day Steelers fans

Thanks, same to you. I'll be bouncing over to the Browns and Ravens boards as well throughout the night.

I think at this point, ESPN and NFL Network aren't that different. I guess it depends on your tolerance level for the jokers sitting behind ESPN's desk.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if the Browns picked Mitch Trubisky first overall?

EDIT: They're taking a long time to make a pick they should have made well before the night. *SCRATCH*

Unfortunately I think they take this time for TV so they can jam as many commercials in as possible.

He went 2nd. You were close

And the Bears will continue to stew in mediocrity for that. Pick a QB if you need to, but don't give up so much for him when he's not actually a franchise player. They still don't have receivers, an offensive line, or a secondary.

EDIT: What a move by John Lynch, though.

The worst part of that trade is, it's not likely San Fran would have even drafted him imo. He'd have been there at #3

Good pick by the Jets, but Bucky Brooks needs to take a chill pill on Jamal Adams.
