I hope you're right. He does have much needed talent.
Next year if Bryant comes back and the Steelers find away to keep Bell, Wow!

There is noone else but DeMarcus Walker in my eyes!!! this guy shows up every game, been known to be a student of the game, drops in coverage, and is one of the nations leaders in sacks, this guy reminds me of DEEBO!!!

    Oh and how's everyone doing?

Well, Tomlin loves Florida State defensive players.
Walker is a little big at 6-4 280 for a 34 defense scheme but we'll see how he runs.
He's probably going to be a great 4-3 DE

    Good to see ya!

He does! well chiccillo played DE too at miami and has transformed himself into a OLB, we need another DE to rotate with CAM and Tuitt also, he can hold the edge too against the run. He either loses and gets down to 260 or gains to 290.

I look forward to watching him at the. Combine and if he's a senior, watching him in the bowl

  6. This was a win that showed great character from the team. The first come from behind win of the current win streak which shows this team doesn't quit. The ravens was a tipped ball off losing as well. Some great early games today going to the wire.

  7. That was meant for the game day thread...... no idea how it ended up here????

So, the Steelers have gotten better on both sides of the ball.
What do they need in the draft besides a pass rusher? At this point if a good FA is available I think they should go that way .

I don't think their offseason needs have changed all that much, actually. They're certainly playing better now than when they last played the Dolphins, but there are still major depth holes on the d-line. Other than that, this is a pretty solid team, and most of the draft picks should be made as insurance in case of disaster or as luxury.

The idea of Adoree Jackson in the first round is growing more and more on me. He's a defensive playmaker and an ace kick returner, something we haven't had in what feels like an eternity. I'm confident he can become a great slot corner, which is what this team will need down the line as William Gay's career comes to an end (which shouldn't be soon, I'm just saying).

I was looking at him a few weeks ago.
    He's a 4way player ( CB,WR,RB,ST)
Talk about a value pick, he's IT!
Especially when the Steelers will be picking late. Hopefully still there.

    Watson is one tough QB
He took a whooping tonight but kept his composure and pulled off the national championship.
Jalen Hurts on the other hand wasnt very good. Not ready for the spot light.

I feel bad for Bama defense. They were great in the first half but we're on the field too long because of the offence

Thats because if you can put the Bama offense in a 3rd down passing situation, they can't complete a pass. Is their QB a fresshman? I would try a later round pick on Clemsons QB. He can run and throw.......I don't follow college at all except Pitt on occasion. Clemsons only loss came against Pitt! A bit proud of that......I think the Clemson defense was focused on the run and made the Bama defense try to beat them with the pass......

Kiper has the North Carolina QB rated #1 in the daft this year for the QBs according to ESPN this morning......

  14. rarebreedsj Franchise Player Steelers

Yes Bamas QB is a freshman.
He over achieved as a QB during the season but this loss is on Saben.
As good as Jalen was he should not have been asked to go out and win a championship.
They had other good QB'S on the team woth experience so..

Watson will be a Brown If they're smart.
This kid is a QB not a RB with an arm.
He can run and is very very tough.
Pittsburgh would be lucky to land him but #1 overall is likely

I could be wrong, it we ouldnt be the first time but I think Watson's got it.
He reminds me if McNaIR or V.Young only mentally more stable.

  16. rarebreedsj Franchise Player Steelers

I also think whomever takes WR M.Williams, Clemson wI'll end up disappointed at times.
He's got a lot of talent but the mental side is suspect.

Watching last night's game gave flashbacks of Bill Cowhers AFC Championship games before Ben.
Like Polamalu said the Steelers defenses aren't made to be on field very long.

They need a ball controlled Offence like Haley's

seems like saban needed kiffen more than he thought. Jalen got them there, so ride him! He looked out of sync. Kiffen?

watson seems to throw flat footed alot. i don't think he will be a good pro. you can't run all day in the NFL. Linemen are too fast for that.

  19. rarebreedsj Franchise Player Steelers

Kiffen was there for the week before against Washington and Jalen wasn't good then either.
He's good a short passes but I think he doesn't have the down field vision needed to be one of the better QB'S.

    Do you think it's Watson's mechanic's ?
I thought he made the throws and was better this season.
I say this as an Alabama fan. They remind me of the Steelers.

I didn't watch his feet, but I think that can be fixed in the pro's. He's got a strong arm and can run ONLY if in trouble......The best QB's stay in the pocket and only run if they have no choice....Rodgers, Luck, Russsell Wilson, etc. It's hard to judge QBs and how they will do in the pro's......
