Steelers Draft and Mel Kiper sucks thread!!

Ha. There was a lot of "WTF, why didn't we draft Ramsey/Jack/Tunsil/Spence this draft

 

Fans being "educated" on prospects has caused most of that I believe.

I remember when I first started following the draft about 10-12 years ago, I had no idea who most of the players were being drafted, so I never really questioned the picks. All I did was research the players AFTER the draft so I was happier with the picks.

Now that I think I might actually know something about these guys BEFORE the draft, I get more upset when the team takes guys I don't know, especially if there is a guy there I liked!

Around here (and on CBS back in the day), I think the Steelers fans were kinda the first group to really go crazy researching the draft prospects. Now, the Ravens fans are doing the same thing, so they are starting to have those same "WTF!?!?" moments! Its a beautiful thing, really! *ROFL*

 

And that's why I don't get too deep into it. At best, I'm only going to know prospects from round 1-3. And even then it won't be all because I can't take getting angry after the team goes a direction I didn't want. Especially to watch a guy I wanted turn around and suck anyway (secretly still happy we didn't draft Stephen Hill like I wanted)

What is the downside in just saying, "Stanley was higher on our board regardless of the video?" I can't think of any reason to not just put it to rest and say so....

UNLESS...

They had already given Tunsil (and / or his agent) some indication that he was the #1 OT on their board and they don't want to be contradicted if they say otherwise now.

I could be missing something. But they've been dancing around the question and I can't understand why?
