I got feelers out to more posters, CBS will soon be a distant memory. Any site that calls Pete Pisshole an "expert" and lets a subliminal racist like Mike Freeman write for them, deserves abandonment.

Someone has to fall in this draft, I do not think it will be any of the NEED players of teams drafting in the top 15, they have a lot of holes to fill. The two teams that could grab the two playmakers off the board are Carolina and Tampa. (Patterson and Austin)

    ny,

I agree - someone will fall to us.. If we just sit tight at #17 and let it happen - we'll be in good shape. I highly doubt both OG's will be off the board at #17 - will we go that way? not sure... but I think one will be there.

    enjoy,

    bb

Steelers 2013 Mock Draft Database ? First Round
Saturday, March 30th, 2013 at 5:37 pm by Dave Bryan

I hope to have the 3.0 version of my Pittsburgh Steelers mock draft up sometime Sunday evening, but in the meantime, I thought I would round up all of the mainstream media first round mock drafts for you with links to each of them.

Four of the eleven mocks listed have the Steelers selecting Tennessee wide receiver Cordarelle Patterson with the 17th overall selection, while two of the other mocks listed have Georgia linebacker Jarvis Jones going to the Steelers.

As you can imagine, I don't agree with any of the ones listed, but I invite you to post below where your mind is currently at as far as the Steelers first round pick goes as we head into the month of April.

KIper and McShay are idiots, Brugler is a follower, not a free thinker. Brandt I really respect, but Pat Kirwin going with Trufant, I think he is not thinking like Kevin Colbert at all. I can see Rhodes, but not Trufant. Listen the O needs help, whether it'[s Cooper to seal the inside, or Patterson/Austin to open things up. Jarvis Jones I buy, but man I am telling you if Ogletree keeps his head out of his arse will be a real playmaker. Jerimah is a former scout, so his credibility outweighs the entire ESPN panel of buttwipes. Bucky Brooks I watch on path to the draft, I think I can buy what he is selling. Both these guys are at the pro days and they see who the Steelers like or don't like.

notice one thing, nobody picked Cooper or Vacarro.

I think there is a good chance Star Lotulelei falls to us. he would be a plug and play for the next ten years.

  7. I will have none of THAT! Even as I have taken things personally in the past, one must grow thicker skin and not be so sensitive!

And if Mel Kiper really thinks the Steelers draft a TE in the first round . . . He should be allowed to stay with ESPN for the entirety of his life, they deserve each other! A TE . . . what a cazzo testa di merda!

Tim, Check out your facebook page, it's growing..... almost like magic. :)

  10. Longtime CBS poster, rolling into this place to check it out. Titans board was as yet uninhabited, so I declared myself King and have ventured out into the land, seeking adventure and wisdom.

cawsnalltis, how did you hear about this, I have posted on CBS with you before. I am trying to spread the word, lots of us joined CBS, 5,6,7 years ago, but that site started sucking Donkey Dong. Glad you joined and Welcome aboard.

  12. Welcome Cawsnallthis. As long as things stay civil you and any fans from another team are always welcome

  13. I heard about it on RTTruth's new mock. I jumped on to see if it was already filled and read about this site. Thought I'd check it out. This seemed to be the most active thread.

Ok fellas, I've been doing some research on Jonathan Cyprien and have been liking the kid more and more as I read up on him or watch footage. Of course I only check out college players right before the draft whereas you guys research them year round. Where do you guys think he ranks and where do you think he gets drafted. I don't see any mocks with him going in the first but I've seen some scouting reports that suggest he could be better than Vaccaro

  15. Cyprien won't make it out of the 2nd, for sure. Very balanced, can play the run and pass, is going to make some team very happy. Certainly wouldn't mind it being mine. The only part of our offseason I am unhappy with is the signing of Bernard Pollard. His coverage skills have fallen off severely and that is the problem we are trying to solve. For the last several years, I could have caught 6 balls for 100 yards and 2 TD's from the TE slot against us. I was hoping we would be in the safety market early in the draft and with the signings of Wilson and Pollard, I'm afraid that will now be addressed on Day 3, if at all.

I agree with Caws, definitely won't make it out of the 2nd hopefully at 48. I have also seen him mocked at the end of round 1, SF is in the market for a safety, it could be either him or Elam.

  19. nybites M.V.P. Steelers UCONN

In the first CBS collaborative draft, Cyprien was not as much as a hot item, I snapped him up at 48. I think the Ravens would be crazy to pass on him at 32, he may end up being the best safety in this class. Michael Huff was the 7th overall pick and has never played consistent enough in Oakland like Tyvon Branch, taken 100th overall. The days of Al Davis are disappearing from the roster, Remember Huff ran 4.3 at the combine. Darius Heyward-Bey was another 4.3 guy who ran fast, he is no longer with the team.
