I wonder if Mitchell switches to SS now that Davis has been picked ?
The more I read about Davis the more I like the pick. The Steelers could really use a center fielder and this guy might be ideal.

Tragic if true. Has to be true at this point as the kid has so much upside.

Hargrave is a good pick, a real good pick. I wasnt sure where to slot him but the 4th is defo too low.

Some real nice depth. You already have my personal 3rd or 4th best CB depending on how you project Ramsey. (for me its Ramsey, Hargreaves, then its close between jackson and Burns), i personally gave jackson the edge because he is a bit more polished, burns has more upside.

I was not entirely sure why people were down on him on this thread, even if he went a bit higher tthan projected- look at Karl Joseph, you get the guy you covet, and if it is a reach its not by more than a handful or couple handful of picks at worst.

I like the draft so far, I can see why they went with burns, but he needs to improve his tackling and supporting the run. Davis, I really don't know much about him, someone on here said Lake had him as the best safety, so I'll take his word for it that we got a good one. Javon, I hope all the hype on this kid wasn't just that, and we got someone in the 3rd round that can make a difference all 3 downs.

  4. A really interesting draft so far. The players selected definatley indicate that the steelers are going in a different direction with the defence and it's intriguing.

I actually quite like all three picks after admittedly scratching my head over burns I've stepped back and can see the bigger picture. What's unusual is they normally try to take a sure thing in the first but the burns pick to me is kind of risky and definitely has the feeling of a boom or bust prospect. However If these guys do come off this defence is going to a whole new level.

  5. None of the guys they have drafted so far are anywhere close to "sure things," but also won't be expected to come in and set the world on fire in year one. All of these guys will serve in limited capacity and special teams roles until about mid-way through the season, where they will start to be rotated in more effectively.

The thing that works well for us is there are seasoned veterans in every position. Gay has been a master the past few seasons, Mitchell and Golden will help Smith greatly, and Tuitt and Heyward will help our new DT acclimate.

Hargrave almost guarantees we won't pick Billings (don't know where the board is located or I'd refer to him by number).

  7. I would still take him, can never have enough good defensive lineman and he would be great for first and second downs. Where do you see them going in the next round? Can you see them taking another corner like Jonathan Jones later in the draft or would that be over kill? Wouldn't mind them taking Dahl the guard from Washington or vadal Alexander, both would be good depth on the interior line and an upgrade over Wallace.

I would love to be the Browns right now. 4 picks in the fourth round and now a trade-down to get even more picks. Law of probability would suggest the Browns hit at least some of these picks.

Can someone tell me what post# the board is located on? I really want to know who all these numbers(players) are.

    Take care,

At some point today I think the Steelers will take a project OT and maybe a punter

there are people in hell right now that wouldn't say this *REF*

Wonder if they'll go with #66 with 4 round selection to insure against any LB ego and his next contract

man, was listening to radio during chores this a.m. and he's being ripped apart as selfish, arrogant, silver spooned self ... those really aren't my words but more a conglomerate of 3-4 different sports personalities. embarrassing ... :[ ... really

  15. 64 or 66 is who I'm hoping for.

I'd even be happy with 6, at this point, could be great value. High risk/reward situation.

  17. I have to say...I have been keeping an ear on the Colts draft (living in Indy and all) and I am really impressed with their selections thus far. People here were basically about to kill Grigson if he didn't give Luck some protection and Pagano some defensive players to work with and they have done both.

Here's hoping we have as much success.

    Rams suck too ...

i am so, a bad luck charm ... no more picks from me ...Steelers are on their own *REF* :D

  19. I would go 6 but I think the steelers go 78, 72 or 60.

  20. Bengals just took 6.
