Five away... We're gonna get a good football player boys!

    9, 16, and I'm a fan of 27 too.

For 9 I'd want to be sure the coaches felt they could motivate him.

    Let's play "crazy scenarios"--

Crazy 1) #5. The Steelers were patient and worked with Sean Spence. They are well suited to bring 5 along for a year of rehab until Silverback leaves.

Crazy 2) Not even on the War Board-- QB P.L. Gives 5 years under contract-- in time for Ben's retirement.

That second one isn't even a ghost of a real chance, but it's fun to imagine crazy scenarios.

If the Steelers took PL I might slit my wrists.

Well don't do that. And I really don't think you have to worry. But what about crazy 1?

I still think 16 is the likely choice if he lasts.

At this point you're getting a very good player.

2 more picks and then it's time.... I think there's a good chance I'm happy

I thought Minnesota would have went WR... not sure what their pick will be now, worried about cincy taking my guy

I don't know. The next two teams need WR and DB. There's only one elite WR left now. A DB might get grabbed before we pick.

Honestly I heard the microfracture report today and didn't want to redo the board. I would have dropped him to the 4th round had I heard it yesterday. Can't take a guy that may have a career-ending injury before he ever steps foot on the field.

I wouldn't be upset with crazy 1.... considering how a lot of 1st round picks go and how long they last... if we had him at 3-4 years at a high level and then he was gone... it'd be worth it

I'd be ecstatic with 6, 9 or 16 so technically I can't lose. But I never saw Shazier coming so it could end up being 23, 27 or 28. I would have no problem with 23. In fact, he may be the best player left. He's just such a late bloomer.
