After playing around with the idea, I don't like the concept of us picking an OLB in the first round, or even at all. Even if Harrison doesn't come back, we have enough bodies there to fill a roster, and I don't think they'd be so quick to give up on Jarvis Jones when Colbert was his biggest fan when he drafted him.

I love Spence - I think he'll be awesome for any team he plays for, in any defensive scheme. I just don't want him on the Steelers anymore. In my mind, Colbert would be more likely to draft Hunter Henry than Spence or any other OLB prospect.

 Well, as long as we're throwing bones here, you were right about Marcus Peters last year when I barely mentioned him (though I secretly agreed). I just convey what I see when I see it.

I only watched Alexander play one time and that was in the championship game.
I'll go back and rewatch but I thought he got beat often in that game.

He left in the second quarter due to injury and was a gametime decision as to whether or not he'd even play.

Wendall Williams from the University of the Cumberlands ran a 4.19 forty at the regional combine. I guess someone is going to take a late round flyer on him.

He will be our 3rd Rd pick.

I hope they learned from Dri Archer

Demo, I know you're good at this so I'm just asking questions to get on the same page.
Are you going by Alexanders 2015 or 14 stats?
As far as 2015 all I can find is 5 Break ups and 5 PD with no Ints.
This doesn't sound like 1st round to me.

Stayed away from him. Pure cover corner. But he probably doesn't make it to 25. *WALL*

For what it's worth this draft is really lined up perfectly for the Steelers. There are a handful of talented CBs that should be available in the first and then a handful of really talented safeties that should be available in the second. Only time will tell.

Jeremy Cash in the 2nd round is a match made in heaven for the Steelers. He's a fantastic player who has tremendous football IQ and plays everywhere on the field. Does he sound familiar yet?

You could be 100% correct but unfortunately there just isn't enough film available to determine if the guy can ay safety. He's basically been a LB for Duke. I like him, but does he have the range necessary for safety?

6' and 212 pounds. That's becoming the standard for a Safety. He is also a great tackler. He had 100+ in each of the last 3 seasons while at Duke.

StlCtr I'm with you. The guy looks like a stud. The question remains is he a weak side LB or strong safety. People that are way smarter than you and I will make that decision.

Agree with ya beach. I know a lot of scouts are comparing him to Deonne Buchanon for the Cardinals.

I don't see anyway he makes it past 55-57... One of those teams will grab him IMHO.

The safety I'm really interested in is Miles Killebrew out of Southern Utah. There's no telling where he'll go, but he won't get out of the fourth round and may end up being picked in the second. He's getting favorable comparisons to Deone Buchanan and Shaq Thompson when they were fresh out of college.

I mentioned Su'a Cravens out of USC, but he's looking like a pure 4-3 OLB the more I see him. Probably a Derrick Brooks type, but that's a high ceiling to place on him.

I'd "settle" for Vonn Bell or Jeremy Cash in a heartbeat. Darian Thompson is not for us; even though he's the best center-fielder in the draft, we need safeties who know how to tackle (not "hit"). I mean it when I swear at least 40% of the passing yards we gave up last season came after contact.

I have him going to the Bucs @ 9. *PARDON*

Either Noah Spences stock is falling or teams are trying to smoke screen. There were no head coaches or GMs at his pro day. There were representatives from 28 teams however.

Eastern Kentucky is just Noah Spence. Coaches and GMs generally show up to pro days where there's a plethora of talent available.
