Cool find. Looks like he could be the first safety taken off the board if he does declare. All of his issues with me come with his off-field issues. He has yet to play an uninjured season and he started this season on the suspension list. Might be a junior Janoris Jenkins as a safety.

 

I stopped putting too much value into "off-field issues". A little immaturity and boneheadedness should be expected from someone who is 20 yrs old. Where was Vick's college days problems? On the flip side, Randy Moss turned out great. Remember Rae Carruth? He was a model citizen in college. If the kid is good, get him into the system and then brainwash the shithead how you want him to be... Unless, of course, our organization lacks the ability to handle that sort of thing.

 

I didnt know he was suspended...what did he do? He has missed some games due 2 injury

Now that guy is a baller. I saw the other dudes height/speed and went all Al Davis. Thinking the steelers should go safety in round 1 considering how many are signed and how old (allen) useless (shamarko) are.

Yeah, never mind about that. It was a false alarm on my end. Turns out he's only injury prone.

 

Oh then he is definitely Steeler material (yes I know some of our guys have just had some bad luck when it comes to injuries and are not injury prone it was just a joke pull your panties out of your crack).

 

Nah, the Steelers' thing is to draft guys that are NOT injury prone in college and make them injury prone!! *WALL* *WALL* *WALL*

 

On an unrelated note..

I was in the grocery store last week and decided to buy an instant lottery ticket from the vending machine. I rarely buy them but I saw a Steelers ticket there so I said what the heck.
Anyway, I put the money in and told my son to hit the Steelers button. And in what seemed like slow mo, I see him hitting the Eagles button as I am telling him noooooooo. So now Im mad because Im shelling out another $5 to get the Steelers ticket. Long story short, that Eagles ticket was the loser that I knew it would be and the Steelers ticket has won three times already as I keep rolling $5 back in.
Another life lesson for my son who is confused sometimes because his momma is an Eagles fan.

Looking at the post above it's crazy to think this thread hasn't had a post since 12-14. It was the most consistent and active thread over on the CBS board. It's been the one consistent and active thread here. I've always enjoyed the thread. I'm not an active contributor due to work, family, and coaching my sons baseball and football teams. This year baseball ran into the football season. I don't get to watch much college football until my teams season is over. I've always come to this thread to get updates and see who the fans on this thread thought the Steelers might take.

I hope NY is ok. Haven't seen much of Burgh lately either. Best wishes!

 

I've always viewed this thread as an offseason thread only. Not saying it doen't get posted on or looked at, but this thread (as large as it is), doesn't seem to have the in-season thought to it.

 

Let's throw out some names. What do you guys think of Robert Nkemdiche? Think he can play 3-4 DE? He may be a faller in the draft.

 

Pass. 1. We have TWO young and outstanding DEs. 2. I personally hate the kid's off-the-field issues.

 

Also, its official, the Steelers will have the 25th selection in the 2016 NFL draft.

 

Don't disagree, but he's certainly talented. I was looking for potential fallers and he came to mind, largely for the reason you just stated. I haven't looked much at any of the DB's yet and that will be a natural starting point.
