The new Steelers theme is now available.

Go to 'profile', 'settings' and under available styles select 'Steelers'.

I like the new update a lot, one change I would recommend is a picture of the 6 Lombardi trophies next to the pennant. ;) *OK*

I would do 7 Lombardis so you don't have to go through the hassle of updating it in February.

How ironic it's going to be when Stingingly beats out Archer and Taj Boyd beats out SUCKASS Jones.

Apparently, I've pissed off a group of Brown's fans over in their yard. They mentioned the "last 6 quarters" and I replied with a hydrogen bomb... "Johnny Manziel". This didn't really settle too well with those guys. As a matter of fact, all hell broke loose. I didn't realize at the time (although, in retrospect, it's OBVIOUSLY clear), that if I were a fan of a team in the middle of "50 Years of Futility", I'd be a bit more than hypersensitive too. I've removed myself from that conversation, where I was only commenting on their team, and in a very civilized and non-critical way. Oh well, lesson learned. Maybe next time, I'll bring a peace offering.

  9. that dog has the unmistakable look of having swallowed a product made by the acme novelty company of walla walla, washington - a company, i might add, that causes chuck jones to have no sympathy for wile e. coyote. as chuck says - one should be well aware of the dubious reputation of their products by now.

Today in Draft Prospects to Watch

    Name: Taylor Decker

    School: Ohio State

    Position: Offensive Tackle

    Height: 6'7"

    Weight: 315

Summary: Decker is Ohio State's starting left tackle from 2014, set to play that role again in 2015. He's a natural fit for Urban Meyer's zone-blocking scheme with a well-rounded skill set and prototypical size for the position.

Decker isn't an elite talent, but he has solid fundamentals and holds up well against most defenses. He's a better pass-protector than run-blocker, but he isn't a liability blocking for the run. Blame it on scheme, player mentality, or both, but Decker doesn't show a nasty streak. He gets in the way of defenders or at most, "sticks" them. He's not a road-grader by any stretch of the imagination.

Decker faced his most NFL-like defense in the Buckeyes' playoff game against Alabama. It was a mixed game for him, in which he had brilliant moments of stonewalling pass rushers mixed with a couple of plays in which he was badly beat. He wasn't as extreme one way or the other run-blocking, but there was one instance in which he badly whiffed on a pulling attempt and was the reason why the running play called went nowhere.

In other games, such as the 2014 game against Michigan, he played much better. It's clear to me that, barring a brilliant 2015, he won't be ready to start immediately at left tackle in the NFL. He does have lots of experience in a zone-blocking scheme and plays like it. He's a knowledgeable player who makes good decisions and understands blitzes. He was First-Team All-Big Ten according to both coaches and media in 2014, and he was a leader on a powerful Ohio State offensive line.

Steelers?: After the 2015 season concludes, the Steelers will stand to have just two tackles signed to their active roster. The free agent, Mike Adams, has shown zilch to this point which would justify a second contract. Kelvin Beachum is a quality option on the blind side, but Marcus Gilbert has been very streaky so far.

As mentioned before, Decker has exclusive college experience playing in a zone-blocking scheme. Mike Munchak also employs a zone-blocking scheme in Pittsburgh. It would make for a relatively simple transition for Decker to play for the Steelers from Ohio State, and he's already a better tackle than former Buckeye Adams, who's supposedly talented but has shown really bad fundamentals. Decker could be a great right tackle to start, then a left tackle down the line, with Beachum being utilized more for his versatility.

Decker's current range is 1st-2nd. He might rise higher than that, but he isn't a "potential" prospect, meaning what we see is likely what we get. He would have to be the Steelers' first first-round offensive tackle since 1996 if they covet him next spring.

Hey I tell you what Villeneuva looks like a player. Maybe not hitting the panic button on drafting OT in the first round. Landry Jones is still not seeing the field. MyCole Pruitt >>>>Jesse James saw that one coming

Ameer Abdullah was fantastic in his first bit of NFL action versus the Jets' first-team defense. I mention him because he was a shrimp coming out that the Steelers showed interest in, but because of his size a lot of us didn't want anything to do with him. It's preseason and blah blah blah, but it would be interesting and disappointing if Abdullah turned out to be a dynamic threat.

Back when I attended the University of Montana - our Football stadium was smaller than the High school one where I went. Now they have a new (several years old) at the foot Mount Sentinel and the near the Clark Fork river... Hopefully the broadcast shows off the campus and the surrounding area..

Lot's of games next Thursday.. Stay tuned
