I watched some some bits and pieces of Pitt games last year and Boyd is good. Conner is a beast, fast and can find the holes also. Both definitely 1st round talent if they stay through their senior year, imo...... ;)

Boyd is a hell-of-a punt returner too...

?If [Jimmy Clausen] is not a successful starting quarterback in the NFL, I'm done. That's it. I'm out.?

What a lying, stinking, sack of sh!t.

That thread is golden, and im pretty sure there is a consistent theme of just going all out with every highly touted media prospect in a given class.

Clausen isn't a successful starter so why is Kiper not done?

Because he makes bold statements and backs them up with his wussified backpedal. This is classic ESPN. They hire a Jr. College Tennis geek, to evaluate NFL talent. Even after he was exposed annualy by being way the eff off, his employer turns a blind eye. Kiper sells, but to whom? Well my guess is the 18-30 demographic who buy sneakers based on brand and marketing not reviews. If you sugar coat bullsh1t these young ESPN viewers buy into it.

Back on CBS I emphatically called Clausen "Jimmy Limo " and swore up and down he sucked, would continue to suck,, and always sucked. Matt Barkley is another clown I knew would suck ass. That stiff from 'bama too, A.J. McCarren, another good College QB with no pro potential that I said was not worthy of a day two pick.

Bill Tobin called it, Mel Kiper Jr. is no more qualified than my postman. I was at the mercy of 2 days in a Hotel, stuck with ESPN, borderline water-boarding IMFO. When I got home I put on NFL network and was spared a trip to the ER with blood pressure over the legal limit.

My wife says I am too judemental, she is probably rignt. However.... I have a very high, almost perfect record on first glance telling if I will like a person or they are an ASSH0LE. One look at Kiper, I knew, within nanoseconds, they guy is a Sphincter.

Others I called immediately" Berman, Olberman, Kris Jenner, Kanye, well most of the entire Kraptashian family except Bruce, now Betty Jenner. I mean she effed up an Olympian and now is plotting to use his obscuirty for her financial gain. Ken Paterra said it best. that b1tch can turn anyone into crap.

B.J. Finney on being signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers:

I'm really pulling for this kid. There's a marked difference between players like him and players like La'el Collins. Finney should have been drafted somewhere on day 2 or early 3, but he wasn't. That doesn't at all seem to have dampened his appreciation for being signed to play for an NFL team.

Alright. So kind of jumping to next offseason. Whose contracts are up or stand to be released? Where do they go for the 2016 draft?

I believe Mike Adams and Ramon Foster are on their last year of contracts...

    but I defer...

i think OT, TE, RB are my targets. I am really happy with Finney and Desmukes as backup centers and guards. ONe will make the team. Got to appreciate Finney who is the polar opposite of La'el Collins. If they draft one LB next year, I will be amazed. This team suddenly has a phucton of LB talent. Would not shock me to see some of their cuts get signed elsewhere.

Keep CB in mind also, especially if Cortez Allen cannot get his head on right. You can never have enough CB, it came back and bit Seattle, twice in the Super Bowl. Once on the injury, and then the pick on the goal line.

  18. ravens_R_#1 Legend Ravens

    Mike Adams - OT
    Will Allen - S
    Kelvin Beachum - OT
    Antwan Blake - CB
    Ramon Foster - OG
    William Gay - CB
Clifton Geathers - DE (I think)
    Robert Golden - S
    Bruce Gradkowski - QB
    Cameron Heyward - DE
    Darrius Heyward-Bey - WR
    Steve McLendon - DT
    Sean Spence - ILB
    Cam Thomas - DT
    Greg Warren - C

This is just the players who, as of now, aren't under contract for 2016. I didn't include the exclusive rights free agents

First off RR, I fixed Greg Warren for you. And secondly, damn. I would say Cameron Heyward, Kelvin Beachum, Steve McLendon (barring an injury-filled year), William Gay, and Antwan Blake are the Steelers top 5 guys they need to sign IMO.

Cam Heyward should still get a deal done this summer. Beachum, Gay, and McLendon will probably get new deals after the season (though as the starting LT perhaps Beachum gets some love along with Heyward this year). Greg Warren gets a 1-year deal each season. Everybody else will be allowed to explore free agency if they choose, except Ramon Foster who will still get paid. He's a solid veteran guy they don't want to let get away.

Gradkowski will probably be re-signed, he's got the easiest job in the league.
