    I'll take him too :)

Ok guys with the Dupree pick last night,

    We now have:

    Dupree
    Moats
    Harrison
    JJ
    Howard Jones
    Lemon
    Zumwalt

My question is, do you still think we double dip at this position? Something tells me we're not.

I'm thinking secondary in the next 2 rounds.

I think because his list is his list for the Steelers, who probably don't have ILB on the radar this weekend.

Stick to the board. The #16 edge rusher is better than the #8 CB. But I do think the Steelers get at least one CB by the third round. There are definitely two I am hoping for but we'll see.

  7. That's s good question roc. Tbh I would still like us to draft another olb simply because Harrison is old and has had injury problems, j Jones has also had his share of injuries to and we still don't know if he gonna make the cut. Moats is a sound backup but you've got to be looking for an upgrade. It's not in inconsievable to think Harrison and Jones will miss significant playing time with injuries and then what do we have.

If Gregory falls to the Us In round two with the likes of Rowe and Rollins off the board do you take him? My answer would be yes. Start from the front, that would be some rotation and then get your secondary help.

  8. I have to agree...I don't see the Steelers picking another LB unless it is round 6-7. They need a starting-caliber CB and a decent G, but everything else is just depth.

Big Bens Men is making more sense than anyone clamouring for "secondary in rounds two and three." I don't think the Steelers go OLB tonight, but it's conceivable that the Steelers avoid spending a draft pick for the secondary at all. Would any of you be upset with Eddie Goldman and Clive Walford? I know I wouldn't.

Going hog-wild in the secondary would be a panic move, and that's not happening in this front office. They already picked their man in the first round, and he isn't a corner. They won't reach, and we'll be better as a team for it.

Agree, unless of course there are solid options at CB like Eric Rowe or Quinten Rollins. I don't consider either of those a reach at 56. Maybe even D'Joun Smith although I will admit I really didn't know much about him until Gruden brought him up the other day.

p.s. To the person earlier that called Moats solid depth. I think he could end up being a little better than that. I could see him as a often-used rotation guy. He has ability.

  11. It is funny to hear the coaching staff talk about getting Dupree. It is obvious they genuinely didn't think they had a shot at him, a lot like when DeCastro fell to them a couple of years ago.

I will also say it is refreshing to see Tomlin and Colbert seem to be completely on the same page. Living in Indianapolis, it is very evident that Grigson and Pagano aren't getting along and the draft pick last night for them (a WR...when they have quite a few and need a defense...and Malcom Brown was on the board...) pretty much showcases that.

Of the secondary guys remaining, Eric Rowe would fit us best, and he wouldn't be a reach at 56. He seems like he'd be big and fast enough to counteract the types of receivers we'll be facing in our division.

  13. I will say, though, that if Maxx Williams somehow falls to 56 (which I don't see happening) then the Steelers wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger on heath Miller V.2.

  14. The Steelers may want to pick up the phone and call the Rams on day 3. After the Rams selected Gurley in the first round, Zac Stacy posted "Yikes" on Twitter...and then apparently put in a trade request. Stacy is in an already crowded backfield, but would be another decent veteran option for the Steelers. He would also probably be worth a 6th rounder (the Steelers DO have two after all).

I think most people were flabbergasted when the Colts picked Dorsett last night. The doofs on NFL.com's stream were drooling over the weapons the Colts would have, but there's no way the Colts will be able to field Dorsett, Hilton, Moncrief, Allen, Fleener, and now Johnson on every play. Are they so disgusted over the Trent Richardson failure that they plan on doing away with the running game altogether? They had Randy Gregory, Malcom Brown, Landon Collins, Eddie Goldman, Ronald Darby, Jake Fisher, Oh-Diggy, Eli Harold, and Damarious Randall to choose from, all of whom would have filled a greater need than Dorsett.

  16. Bob Kravitz (the Ed Bouchette of Indy) wrote a SCATHING review of the pick and how it helped the Pats get better, as the Pats took Brown soon afterward.

Put me in the camp that wants nothing to do with Maxx Williams or any tight end until Round 4.

It's really hard to believe they didn't take a defensive player.

  19. I really don't think Grigson is a great GM...he has made some incredibly head scratching moves that have hurt them consistently. I don't know if some of that comes from Irsay, or if he has just made a ton of Jerry Jones-esque decisions, but I really don't see him sticking around next year unless he knocks 4 of the next 8 picks out of the park.

I'd be happier if we don't go TE at all this year.. I'd rather find a day 3 slot WR - if we are going Offensive weapon... A physical -over the middle slot

    enjoy,
