Great to see ya NCSteel! Re Peters.. I think he's the best CB in the draft - If he drops to 22... And the staff makes that selection - I'm good with it.. In fact, that's my pick at 22 right now.. Who knows how it will play - we'll find out shortly.

    enjoy,

I agree he's the best CB. I just worry about him being a headcase. I have to assume we'd get a couple good years and then he'll be gone-- like Plax or Holmes. Either he leaves or we ship him out.

Something else I'm curious about-- why is La'el Collins dropping? Some of these guys on NFL Network are saying he might not get drafted at all. His agent seemed to think that was the case. But the police have been adamant that he is not a suspect. Is there more here than we know? Because if he's not actually a suspect, why is he dropping?

For Peters, all reports indicate it was merely a case of immaturity mixing with passionate loyalty to a former coaching staff. It shouldn't hurt him much, and he could be the first corner drafted tonight.

    I hope not.

For Collins, the mere fact that this is a huge distraction is apparently enough to lower his stock.

I heard some scout on the radio today talking about the Steelers taking a CB. He said it all depends on how they want to play. Peters is a better man coverage player and Johnson is better in zone coverage. Thoughts?

I personally think you have got to take the guy who is the CB. You can coach coverages. You can't coach the instinct to make a play and be able to stick with the man they are guarding.

NC... Normally the police make sure they say they aren't a suspect so that they don't lawyer up, he may be a suspect soon. Nobody is a suspect as of right now, but someone did it. Once the police find out more about what happened, he may or may not become a suspect. That is why he is being left alone.

Of course his Agent/Lawyer is trying to downplay this, because it is money. This case could go anywhere from Rae Carruth to completely innocent.

From what i am reading, his Ex was killed and he is not a suspect but could provide evidence or theories to someone else's whereabouts, including his own- but either way he has been rejected from entering the supp draft soooo teams need to think fast.

It's good to be on here for the draft again. During last year's draft, I was in South Dakota (of all places)-- and the hotel didn't have wireless access. I felt like I was back in the dark ages.

Dick Vermeil is crazy. the number pick should be a HOFer, please, no way you can pick a HOFer no matter how well you do your homework
