Wow, that's a tough question for me because I don't want any of them. But if I have to choose, I'd take Peters for 3 reasons:

    1. He hasn't been busted for drugs recently
    2. He is the best player at a position of perceived need and will probably have immediate positive impact
    3. A great number of Steeler fans would love the pick, which means we won't hear as much griping if he takes a couple of years to develop.

Otherwise, I think Gregory has the greatest upside and he's my #2 on this list.

Ray is a second round player to me. Great motor and college production, but when I watched the tape I didn't say "wow".

Is it Jalen Collins with the dead ex or La'el Collins? Never liked Jalen @ 22

  9. nybites M.V.P. Steelers UCONN

Maybe he's gone but I like Doran Grant over Nelson. Did some more work and yeah Chuckie is right: D'Joun Smith looks the part.

NYB, no need to thank me, kind of found this site but all I did was continue what you created over on the site that shall be nameless and transfer the title over with a few of the posts. This is all you and everyone's hard work.

Read the PPG chats bssically its Peters or Rowe @ 22. One of the Nuss Brothers stated there is no connection to Markus Golden. Didn't Joey Porter talk to him about arm length and how Harrison uses the arms God Gave him? If Golden isnt there I slso like Trey Flowers.

Is it just me or does it appear nobody is talking trading down this year? I seem to have read every year many folks calling for or speculating on the possibility of the Steelers to trade down.

For some reason, I believe this is the year you will see it happen. Possibly seeing Carolina moving up ahead of Arizona to grab Gurley or Gordon for example.

  16. burghball Guest

Like to see it happen too. Maybe a team moves to 22 to grab one of the RB's....

Always a good idea just has not happened , need 2 teams to play.

    Enjoy,

    B

  17. Watching the 2005 draft coverage and listening to everyone talk about how much better of a QB Alex Smith was supposed to be than Aaron Rodgers is hilarious. Also, remember Braylon Edwards? Ronnie Brown? It's amazing to me how hindsight is 20/20.

You forgot about Cadillac Williams, Troy Williamson, Pac Man Jones, and Cedric Benson to round out the top-7

  19. steelersking M.V.P. Steelers

Cadillac was pretty good until injuries took their toll...Pac Man is still in the league, never lived up to superstar hype and is known more for legal transgressions than his football but he has been a solid player. Adam Smith is a good QB and give him a few seasons under a player like Brett Farve and his career could have been very different. He had a new coordinator every year in San Fran...

I got married on the first day of the 2005 draft. I think we're going to outlast Heath, but he's giving us a good run.

I did get the autographs of Ronnie Brown and the Dolphins' cheerleaders while they were staying at our honeymoon resort in the Bahamas after the draft. My wife loved it!

What would we get if we moved back a few spots in the first?
