Huh? I was replying to you (which is why I quoted you) and then you responded to me - using my name in the sentence.

But at this point I'll just bow out.

    Late to the party, but

I have never met anyone in my life who drank purely for the flavor. I drink beer to take the edge off my back pain, especially when I am working around the house on a Saturday. I have no intention of getting drunk, but I do drink for the purpose of "loosening up" due to chronic back pain.

In the past I've known those who light up, take two hits, and put it back in their cigarette box. Pretty much the equivalent of a beer to me.

But, as has been stated by more than one, every group has those who over indulge.

I am not "confused" . I stopped smoking pot in the 70's. I realized as a 20 year old college student how pot limited my productivity and hindered my ability to aquire and retain knowledge.

In a nut shell: class this missed.

Back on topic: colbert said they had 22 players they are comfortible at 22 any guesses as to that first tier of prospects?

I have to say that 12 of them are gone by the time they pick but any surprises you guys might see?

I think Maxx Williams , Eli Harold, & Eric Rowe are on that list. Jordan Phillips is not.

I would think Byron Jones is on the list and this is my opinion - love to see Cameron Erving on the list - OT/OG/C - can play all 5 spots... How about a Malcolm Brown? He can play 1 3 or 5 technique and with how much we are playing hybrid...

    enjoy,

    Yes, and :!

That's not my cup of tea.

I don't know about surprises, but they also aren't limited to 22 players. Colbert simply answered "yes" when asked, since they pick at 22, if there are 22 players they would feel comfortable with in round 1.

My guess is, based on the speed of his answer, there are more like 30 guys they'd be okay with in the first.

Eli Harold, Odighidlwdiojreldl, Rowe, even Preston Smith are probably in there. If they like a guy in the 2nd they probably like him in the first too.

  13. Just passing along a couple tidbits from guys I talked to who do this for a living (and IMO really know their shit):

Multiple guys had Peters and Rowe as the only two corners in the draft with first round grades. Peters is damn near at the top of everyone's overall board (almost unanimously top 5). I know Bites has stated Pitt's affinity for Rowe. Probably the dark horse pick to go 22. I think Grantland had a piece today where the Steelers traded back to 24 in a hypothetical scenario with Gordon still on the board for the Cards and picking up an extra 4th. Even though this draft is pretty weak, can't argue with that. As for the other corners, Johnson was most widely the #3 guy, with Waynes mixed in.

Gregory is a ROLB in the Steelers scheme w/ the weight (someone mentioned this). Think that's pretty clear, and conflicts with Jarvis. I don't think Jarvis is good, and Gregory has the potential to be the best pass-rusher in the draft (most everyone liked him a lot off the line). But the Jarvis duplication could be an issue. Everyone liked Gregory significantly more than Ray.

RE Preston Smith: most see him as a LDE in 4-3 who kicks over to D Tackle in nickel as a pass-rusher. Not sure if that's the consensus here. Obviously would be a LOLB in Pitt's scheme, but they didn't like him as an edge rusher.

Most overrated players: Shelton, Ray, Flowers.

Most underrated players: Rowe (by far), Armstead, Ifo (CB from Oregon: one guy has him switching over to play center field FS, which I hadn't seen).

La'el Collins was the most divisive of the group. Some had him top 5 in the class. Others thought he was massively overrated positionally. A guy who covers the Bengals for a living said Collins in his mind is the #1 player on the board for Cinci (in terms of realistic options), so I don't expect him to be there.

I'm an NBA guy, so I wont pretend to know the intricacies of scouting NFL players etc. Just thought I'd share.

I actually like Eddie Goldman for DL. We sort of skipped over Kyle Emmanuel out of North Dakota state. Nfl.com guves him a 5.4 grade which is round 3-4 more or less. I will put him in and 86 eighty six, dude cannot tucking fackle.

Collins OT LSU is now being sought for questioning concerning the death of his former gf. This couldn't be timed any worse if he's innocent, for him or any team wanting to draft him.

Not wild about Kyle Emmanuel.. Saw 2 of North Dakota State's playoff games and was not impressed... I figured I'd see a dominant player at that D 2 level...

Yeah NDS is not exactly an NFL football farm is it? The guy who I liked early on, Kikaha looked good for a few games I saw, then came the Senior Bowl and the combine and he looks stiff as a board.

Rick Neuheisal (SP??) was pretty good last night, except he over-graded Brett Hundley. However he made a valid point of how UCLA didn't have a TE and a lot of the OL were freshman. But the interesting thing is he had Marcus Peters as his top CB. I sort of felt this all along, I think we have Trae Waynes too high up on the board. Wayne's short shuttle was alarmingly slow, hopefully some team grabs him early.

Another guy I thought looked good was Zach Vigil, but again his pursuit angles and the ability to shed blocks is marginal.

I am leaving my board alone other than my own personal changes, I will be travelling Thursday and I am out of town Friday and Saturday. I have an Ipad and IPhone but I am gong to be chucking and ducking on here, I like to keep this thread vibrant and interesting. Hopefully Buffalo Wild Wings or Tilted Kilts has NFL network, doubtful they have that in the hotel. Best value at Buffalo Wild Wings is the Sample Platter. Boneless wings, Onion rings, Nacho's, and Mozzarella Sticks. I make it my entr?e.
