Anyone got a sleeper player NOT picked in the Ccollabarative, hit me up with a PM, Email, text, whatever you got.

    Quick,

The thing about Eli Harold. He could have been 8th on their board for a long time and the media and the rest of us are catching up. These late risers are nothing more than inside information filtering back to the fans and the mockers.

Walter is too full of himself.

Yeh he has changed over the last 2-3 years, ever since he got 'contacts'. Can't hate on the effort and work he puts in though, i Just cant take most of what he says seriously anymore. Ill be shocked if Gregory drops that far, Peters might because people are stupid and Ray should be gone inside 15.

So we should take a guy who cant pass a drug test when he knows its coming? A guy that several scouts say they will not sign off on just because he might go to the ravens and work out for them? Sorry we should let them take the risk and go after a guy who doesnt have red flags. If it was one test I would say no big deal failing 3 in 15 months and one he knew was coming says a lot about him.

1(26) Baltimore Ravens - Jaelen Strong, WR - Arizona State - HArd choice for me, i had Strong rated pretty high, love his strong hands- pun intended. The only thing he lacks to me is the true burner speed, he is fast enough though and really can catch at the apex.
2(16) Baltimore Ravens - Eric Rowe, CB/S - Utah - Fits the raven mold - it was him or Coleman at the time and i thought Rowe was rated higher and would fill a need while offering great versatility in the secondary.
3(26) Baltimore Ravens - Jeremy Langford, RB - Michigan State - Great agility and good out of the backfield, thought he would compliment what we have going on at BAL really well, and he shows the ability to make those abrupt cuts which would shine in our system
4(26) Baltimore Ravens - Ben Koyack, TE - Notre Dame - Took him in the other mock as well, ridiculously consistent, great hands, might need help in blocking but a solid under the radar pick that i really like.
*4(37) Baltimore Ravens - Anthony Chickillo, DE - Miami - Bloodlines in the nfl as well as a great motor and attitutude, i think he will help in a rotation against the run which seems like something BAL love to do, needs to work on pass rush but then again we have plenty of that imo
*5(35) Baltimore Ravens - Lorenzo Doss, CB - Tulane - I have picked him before, and he has play making ability ( great ball skills) and a great physical frame, could shine in the nickel for us and provide solid value and depth.
6(28) Baltimore Ravens - Corey Crawford, DE - Clemson - It was him or Titus, but i had a feeling he would get taken before my pick. Crawford has a lot of upside, insane measureable and would also add to a D line that lost a few players last year.

Thoughts? I really like my draft but im not sure the ravens go for strong with Gordon on the board, that would perhaps be the only change i make.

Also damn Tim for not trading with me in the first so i could get Ray.

3 in 15 is pretty bad but these guys are kids at the end of the day, his talent is pretty elite so i dont think its a stretch to hope that he, or anyone else, can mature a bit. ESPECIALLY if they go to the right team.

  7. What makes you think the fine folks of walterfootball are privy to this inside information though? Highly doubtful the Steelers are leaking any kind of actual insight in regards to their board.

Not really targeting Walter Cheripinski's site, but in general all draft sites have thise late risers. Scouts have been gathering info on these kids for years, by the time all the dust settles, some of the information they have is figured out by the rest of the masses.

Here is an example, I told everyone on here about Vic Beasley thought he would be perfect at 22 for the Steelers. Then comes the combine, people start watching tape....... pro days follow, now he's a top 7 pick. Every year we find a guy and by this Sunday every farking year, he is rated higher than what were excited about initially. Eric Rowe, another prime example. You start liking him mid second and now he is a going to be gone probably late 40's alone with Quentin Rollins. That is just the nature of the beast. We find talent, mostly we are ahead of the curve on most of the draft sites, but behind the NFL evaluations.

  9. Oh I get the concept of late risers after watching more tape etc. Was addressing simply the "inside information" aspect of it, which I took in the context of receiving information from actual organizations. Catching up on tape and adjusting ranking after the combine isn't inside information. It's just utilizing public information accessible to everyone after more due diligence

Well Beach must be excited, according to McShay & Kiper, we're going to get Byron Jones in the first (I'm ok with that), and also Owamagbe Odighizuma in the SECOND. Woo-hoo! o_O

As Bugs Bunny once said..............."What a maroon"! *THUMBSUP* *THUMBSUP*

I agree it sounds improbable but we did get Woodley at 46! Maybe they would move up if he were there. But sadly the Steelers have shown almost no interest in Diggy.

Peterson Or Jones? Just wondering, i have been thinking the ravens go one of those two ways recently, although i think the hype might end up being higher for marcus on draft day, although i would take either in a heart beat. Didnt realise you were a fan too.

In many respects jone might be the opposite of peters, no red flags, team cap etc

Have any of you guys seen the 7 round mock by the nfl.com, its a bit insane tbh BUT it does have info from chad reuter, the guy that use to run the nfldraftscout site with rang ( now at cbs), its ncie to see that guy around, he was one of my favourite draft gurus or analysts, whatever we call them

Its more than the failed test. There are reports that his answers to questions at the various teams he is visiting has been inconsistent. It could be nothing but it seems like the reasons to stay away are growing.

I thought you guys had more picks than that? I like it, You guys might double dip in WR too.

  15. Steelroc74 Franchise Player Steelers

That is perhaps one of the worst mocks I've seen yet, we don't get a OLB until the 5th *HIGH*

You can take this to the bank, If Nate Orchard is available in the 2nd we're grabbing him.

Also it has been reported that his weight fluctuates more than the stock market, Steelers reported shortly after his visit he was under 230lbs. He's a 4-3 OLB.

Took that off the Steelers web site... that is a list of the last 20 years of 22nd over pick in the draft.. Not an impressive list.. The Draft is an educated guess... I surely hope the Steelers "guess" correctly....

My current guess is Marcus Peters CB Udub...

    enjoy,

I think if you look at the teams he has visited and some of the wild speculations that have come out you could also make the argument that teams are intentionally throwing some mud out there to try and further push Gregory's stock down. If he makes it to the teens I will be shocked.

I had Kevin Johnson going to the Steelers before anyone in the mainstream media started talking about him going at #22 and I am sticking with that pick.

  19. The BPA at 22 is going to be interesting this year. There are 3 pass rushers guaranteed to be gone (Fowler, Beasley, Ray/Dupree/Gregory), at LEAST three WR's will be gone, 2 RB's could go, 3 D-lineman, 2 QB's, and 2 O-lineman. That is pretty much what we can bank on. I can also safely assume that Dupree, Gregory, and Ray COULD ALL be gone as well, pushing talent down as people reach for pass rushers.

Projecting CB's is really hard, though, as Trae Waynes and Marcus Peters could go anywhere from top-10 to mid-20's depending on how the rest of the draft falls. Regardless, SOMEONE is going to be there at 22 (and it could very well be one of the premier corners) and the Steelers will be fine. I would almost guarantee they go CB, simply because that is the more likely result from what the draft looks like.

This week, the Steelers will do their own mocks and try and figure out every possible trade scenario for every pick so that they can reasonably figure out who is going to be there. Re-tooling starts in 4 days!

I am pretty confident that the Steelers will have a shot at one of the top CB's in the draft, simply because of how the rest of it might fall.
