The local radio here - 93.7 the fan - is saying that 4 players are in for a visit today.. 3 Defense - 1 TE - But they dont say who - the Jack-er-asses..

Anyone know - please post the names of the 4 visiting today.

    enjoy,

    Senquez Golson CB Miss

    C.J. Uzomah TE Auburn

I also see the Steelers are bringing in Sammie Coates WR Auburn for a visit.. hmm.. Maybe they need help over there laying block for the Seat addition at the Cheese Bowl...

I would be thrilled with that draft. Last season you mocked Mosley and Tuitt in the first two rounds, if I remember correctly. I hope your mojo stays intact this year!

Oh, and Johnson is Wake Forest, not Ga. Tech.

Look forward to seeing what you guys do in the official one and what kind, if any, smokescreens you throw in the one starting on the 10th.

I'm looking forward to it. It's going to be the first one I've ever done. It should be a fun experience.

Ah yes you are doing a team solo. If you still want to do feedback with the steelers war room you can, I just will bar you from trading with them.

I wasn't planning on trading with ny. Didn't want anybody to throw a fit about some "insider" trading.

Is Preston Smith our kind of proto 3-4 OLB THAT WE've had in the past or is he one of these light weight mamba pamby guys that can't set the edge?

Idk if 270 is lightwieght, but talking to ny about him; he has the ability to play all over in the front 7

Preston Smith is a hybrid DT/DE/OLB with violent hands you can line up anywhere. Worse csse is he drops 15 lbs and stands up or puts on 15 lbs and puts his hand in the dirt

We get so many people that only come in during draft season just to do it.

  17. I'm not surprised, I haven't been on as much this offseason as in the past 2 but it sucked me right back in.

Once you get invested in the NFL draft, even for a week, or instance, it never leaves you- EVER. effort may peak here and there but overall, you are always checking in- guys you noticed who will be eligible in 2 years are the ones you end up looking forward to- its like a vicious eternal black hole that just never lets go.

with that being said, i am 2k, and im a draft/scouting addict.

That 4th round pick, here was my short list.

    David Johnson
    David Cobb
    Justin Hardy
    Jeff Heurman
    Doran Grant
    Tre McBride

Grant, McBride, Johnson were taken. Really looking at Heurman there is a scouting report on him that does not match what Pittsburgh does, block with authority. He also rounds off his routes. That makes him a 5-6th rounder and really does not scream Clive Walford level to me. That left me with Cobb and Hardy. Hardy runs well but lacks the third gear, his hands are gold though. IF I was OTC in the next round I might chose Kenny Bell for his size, speed, and level of competition. Don't forget how badly I over-graded Freddy Barnes a few years back. Bell is a solid 5th round pick, so I passed on Hardy. Left me with Cobb, who can be in there all 3 downs and he can play right away with Bell's 2 game suspension which is forthcoming.

Sorry not a fan of Nick O'Leary, short and slow, but he might be value in the 5th round and up to some team, just not the Steelers. Jesse James is a better fit. If you want a pass catching TE, then later on Wes Saxton is your guy to run the seam routes. If you are drafting Heath Miller's replacement, then Walford is the only guy I would take from the 3rd round on. Maxx Williams is just too rich a pick in the second, the Steelers need edge rushers and Corners in the first 3 rounds.

Sammy Coates, not sure what the scouts saw but I saw a guy who is a good college player with too many drops. Not a speed guy, he is size guy, but I was soured by his sideline actions in the Senior Bowl. Son, act like you've been there before. Also not a fan of Jalen Colins, I have to move him below Byron Jones. He has all the measurable but he just doesn't wow you on tape. If you are drafting a CB in the first round, I want a guy who not only started, but started for more than one year. Collins is neither of that and I think the media is over-grading him. IN fact, I should have him below Eric Rowe.
