It's not sympathy Bites. It's support. We may not all know each other on an intimate level but we've spent a hell of a lot of time together in here over the last 6-7 years. You know how to reach out to many of us outside of MnC. Don't hesitate to do so if there's anything we can do.

NYB, glad to hear radiation is going well, keep truckin along!

Got a question for you or anyone that wishes to answer, knowing that BPA is the answer. What position do you think the Steelers will grab in the 1st 2 rounds?

I don't think its going to be a QB, RB, WR, or ILB.

My first guess would be a CB, S, or OLB, maybe even TE ( not sure on this one)

What are the deepest positions coming out?

CB will be on the table, and TE, and OLB. Good enough class to find a replacement for Ike, Debo & Heath

I still think the Steelers need a OT and maybe a LG.
CB has been a position i have wanted the Steelers to address in the first round for
years but have learned there arent many CB that deserve a 1st round consideration.

Also, a great pass rushing OLB would be nice. Watching Harrison makes me believe
the Steelers defensive woes are due to lack of pressure from that unit.
He played great last night and I think the whole defense benefited from it.

The question is are we going to resign Worilds? If not we will need an OLB very badly.

Good news: the Steelers are in the playoffs. The thorough dismantling of the Ravens put them in and knocked the Ravens out. We pick 23rd overall, up from 19th over the last couple of weeks.

Here's a rough new mock that's kind of interesting.

    1. Eddie Goldman, NT, Florida State
    2. Hau'oli Kikaha, OLB, Washington
    3. Kevin Johnson, CB, Wake Forest - lean frame leads to obvious issues; standout punt returner and fluid coverage guy
    4. Arie Kouandijo, OG, Alabama
    5. Travis Raciti, DE, San Jose State
    6. Pharoah Brown, TE, Oregon
    7. Eric Lefeld, OT, Cincinatti

    UDFA. Cameron Artis-Payne, RB, Auburn
UDFA. Taiwan Jones, OLB, Michigan State

Kevin White, WR, WVU is the current BPA in our new range (Smurph talked about him a little while ago). The Steelers have absolutely no need for a first-round receiver, though, so I don't consider that a viable possibility.

The Steelers will go CB, NT, or OLB in the first. The only TE prospect worth picking in the first is Devin Funchess, and as he dropped passes, so too has his stock dropped. I'm mostly sour on him now after being intrigued by his potential early on. He still has the athleticism to be a TE akin to Vernon Davis or Jimmy Graham, but he has below average hands and has been tried as a WR at Michigan, screwing up his position experience. He is too generic as an NFL WR, so NFL teams will see him as a TE, most definitely including the Steelers.

They won't go S because there's Landon Collins (a top 10 prospect) and no one else. They arguably shouldn't draft one early anyway because of Mike Mitchell's contract and Shamarko Thomas being groomed.

I really only study the positions the Steelers will probably draft for, so with that in mind, OLB and CB are luckily two of the deepest classes this year. An ant couldn't drown in the S and TE pools since they're so shallow.

It's Worilds or Moats, and I'm on the Moats bandwagon. He's been producing at a fraction of Worilds's cost. Either way, you're right - I'm looking at the Steelers to draw two OLBs from the deep pool that is the OLB ocean this year.

For all the doubters out there.

    My board's BPA @:
    15. C.J. Mosley
    46. Stephon Tuitt
    97. Martavis Bryant

If you read anywhere else, Dri Archer was a poor choice at 97. Just as bad as Landry Jones last year, remains to be seen but I'll stick with my Whiskey Tango Foxtrot reaction. @ the time. You wanted a 3rd RB , fine most of the guys I liked atevkicking ass, jeremy Hill for one.

Yep, those three were winners. Mosley looks to be a stud. Shazier is a different kind of player so it's not a fair comparison, but how good would Mosley look out there next to Timmons? VERY!!

Just need Shazier to stay on the damn field!!

Demo, What do you think about the TE from Florida St., name escapes me right now but I was high on him coming out last year, but he didn't, I don't think he's had as good of a year as last year, but I like his tenacity, spirit, and I think he's an all around solid player. I'm thinking 3rd day prospect.........O'leary I think is his last name.

O'Leary has soft hands and is good all-around. He reminds a lot of people of Dallas Clark. I think Clark was 6'3" or something, just like O'Leary, so the two share a height disadvantage when it comes to TEs. If the Steelers drafted O'Leary, I wouldn't be the least bit upset.

nice video on Joe Greene... but dammit, i H4YT that f**king Styx song. those stats are interesting, no doubt, especially when talking about the win/loss record. BUT, you have to consider the talent quality that Tomlin inherited. the jury is still out, from my perspective. i don't believe he can turn this around. the last few games look really good, but its gonna take more than that. there are still games (even this season) that send up red flags. and i still don't trust Haley either.

Well, Arizona strikes again. They signed Josh Mauro of the practice squad. He was one of my favorite young players, high motor and room to grow.
