About Funchess, I agree. I've been paying close attention to him and don't think the Steelers will be very interested if he declares. J. Brown looks like he's coming along nicely and we're expecting big things out of Bryant, so I don't think we'll need another big WR, if another WR at all. He was used as a TE at Michigan before this season, when he'll be more of a WR full-time. The Steelers use TEs who can play in the trenches, too, so Funchess is out.

My first crack at a basic 2015 draft sans comp. picks (someone who wants to figure it out can let me know their projections so I can use them in future mocks).

    1. PJ Williams, CB, Florida State
    2. Spencer Drango, OT, Baylor
    3. Nick O'Leary, TE, Florida State
    4. Geneo Grissom, OLB, Oklahoma
    5. Corey Grant, RB, Auburn
    6. Corey Crawford, OLB, Clemson
    7. Kyle Brindza, K, Notre Dame (in case pre-season Suisham reappears)

UDFA. Lynden Trail, DE, Norfolk State
UDFA. Thomas Teal, NT, N.C. State
UDFA. Mike Sadler, P, Michigan State

Ok maybe someone here csn explain something to me: why did we keep a roster spot for Landry Jones if he'll never be activated unless an injury? There is no emergency 3rd QB anymore, so if theres an injury he won't be able to come in anyways (thank god!) Just think we could have kept another DL on the roster and maybe bench Cam Thomas?

Va Tech vs. East Carolina. VT used up all their emotions and left it at Ohio State. E. Carolina is taking it to them big time.

CB Faision, no thanks, doesn't play the ball turns the wrong way, he just got schooled by an NFL sized WR, Worthy ,6-3 220 someone to keep an eye on.

However you want a guy who can clog the middle and move, E. Carolina has a DT coming back from injury,, at 6-1 and 350 plus he moves like a LB. His name: Terry Williams. Remember that name guys.

Really enjoying this game, anytime I can root against the Dog Killers Alma Matter, I go for it.

Makes about as much sense as a third rounder on an Oompa Loompa that cannot stay healthy.

If you're talking about Archer, there's still hope for him. He has made big plays in the pre season. give him some time to do it in the regular season.

Couple of Qb's we liked doing pretty well today.
Drew Stanton and Kirk Cousins both.

Also Larry Foote still playing very well. Steelers should have kept him a couple of years longer.
Cardinals defense looks way better than the Steelers, :(

Very impressed with Fuller of the Bears. Best CB in draft unfortunately not there for the Steelers.

That's just it. Guys his size have trouble staying healthy in the NFL. Jacoby Ford, Trindon Holliday and Archer give you just enough glimpses to tease you but cannot hold up over the long term. I would rather see Archer play more sparingly this year, but on 10 pounds and integrate more next year. Trouble is you cannot make his hands bigger.

Re Archer: i'm fairly certain that a college football and an NFL football are roughly the same size, if not exactly. maybe he's just some sort of specialist or trick-play guy that works once every 3 or 4 games. nice investment there Tricky-Leg. you f**king dolt.

I agree with Halo. Archer hasn't shown didley since the season started and even before in some preseason games. I said this quite awhile back. And that he's too small to last very long. Kind of the same way I feel about Manzeil and how his career will go.......

Iowa vs Pitt this weekend - keep your eye on 2 kids from Pitt - both are second year and both will be playing in the NFL - TYler Boyd WR and James Conner RB...

Iowa has a real nice DL - Mike Hardy - #98 - at least he looked good in the Hawkeyes game vs Ball state. will check him out again on Saturday..

I think NY's boys UConn plays friday night.... I think he's high on the WR?

    enjoy,

    one of the idiots

Yeah I am high on Jeremy Davis, #85, giong to be a long season for Huskie fans, the team lost so much to the NFL and they have a coaching turnstyle.

I Cant believe the Steelers have not hired all of the bang up personal people on this board who can already determine after one pre-season and two games that a player is a bust. What othe guys drafted this season are we wasting our time on and would you guys have cut Berry foster in his rookie season too?

There is room in the NFL for the small quick running back like Archer. Darren Sproles has made a very good career out of being a change of pace guy. Even Chris Rainey now with TB had a huge weekend. The key is getting them into open space. If you try to use them between the tackles they are going to get hurt.

I do agree with you on Manzeil

It is Bobby Rainey in Tampa, not Chris.

Your correct. Same type of back just without the off field incidents. He was not able to stick with the Browns or Ravens but found success with the Bucs.

I still remember that fumble on the kickoff. Foster showed flashes in pre-season. Archer has shown squadoosh.

Dwyer just got arrested for domestic Violence. are these young men complete MORONS?

So 2 games into the young man's career and you're willing to call him a bust. That's a little tough, even coming from you.
