NYB, your boy Smallwood got cut from Atlanta today as part of the cuts to 53.

Cut Cam Thomas. He Sux with a capital "S"! As I posted on the Panthers thread, Put McCulleurs in the middle, he is huge and let him learn on the fly with Shazier. Put Mclendon and Heyward at the ends. When anybody is tired, stick Tuitt in and let him get some experience. Case closed! *SHADES*

Anyone watching the Georgia vs Clemson game? Oh my! Either Gurley is really good or Clemson defense is that bad.

This Leonard Floyd is having a heck of a game also.

Gurley is predicted to have a chance to win the Heisman. Also they say he will be a top 10 pick in the draft, which hasn't happened the last couple of seasons. So he is good and looking at Georgia's 341 rushing yards overall 198 for Gurley, I would say Clemson's defense might suck a little too.

I was going to point out the same thing. Looking through the cuts, there weren't too many guys we were high on who got cut. I noted Yawin Smallwood, and I had also thought De'Andre Coleman would have been a good late round pickup at DE for us. He was cut by the Jags.

But in pouring through the list of cuts, I also noted a number of former Steelers:
Tony Hills, OT- cut by Miami
Doug Legursky, C-- cut by Buffalo
A.Q. Shipley, C-- cut by Baltimore
Weslye Saunders, TE-- cut by Indy
DeMarcus Van Dyke, CB-- cut by K.C.
Crezdon Butler, CB-- cut by S.D. (I had no idea he was still playing)
Doug Worthington, DL-- also cut by S.D. (Another one I didn't know was still in the league)
Da'Mon Cromartie-Smith, CB-- cut by Washington

Who was that receiver, that we thought might come out last year, he played for Mizzou, Dorrel-Green or something like that, what happened to him? Didn't even catch a pass today. Dude has A 6-5 frame and muscle to go with it.

has anyone else noticed that every guy in the NFL named "Cromartie" have a hyphenated name? they must ALL have the same husband.

  8. He is sitting out this yr cause of his transfer to Okla

    Why did he transfer?

I am pretty sure he was kicked off the team because he's an idiot.

steelers=sb goes to Mizzou, he can fill you in on Dorial Green-Beckham. Yes he is a flaming idiot, talentened but his decision making off the field is just mind boggling. Will be interested to see what becomes of Jamais Winston, whether he rights his ship or continues to douche up his life.

    I got 2 I TOLD YOU SO'S.

    Max Bullough, CUT
    Shane Skov CUT

production in the NCAA but too slow for the NFL. It's one of the reasons HoJo got signed, he's a quick twitch guy with a higher ceiling. Skov and Bullough you can time with a Sundial, no thanks.

One I blew, and Quew777 was along for the ride, the Curtis Marsh experience is officially over in Philly. He just never transitioned to the next level. That was dating back to the 2011 draft.

    The guru of nfl drafting
*ROFL* just traded a former 3rd round pick to Houston for a 7th rounder. Still
Wondering how anyone can get that many High
Picks to bust ratio and continually have his knob polished by the mindless Dolts on ESPN.

His head coaching career will only last a couple years longer than Tom Brady's tenure unless he lucks into another franchise QB.

    update on my redraft:

    Steelers me
Ryan Shazier -53 Ryan Shazier -53
Stephen Tuitt -53 Stephen Tuitt -53
Dri Archer -53 Ross Cockrell CB Duke -53
Martavis Bryant -53/IR? David Yankey G Stanford -53
steelers Shaquille Richardson-PS Lache Seastrunk RB Baylor -waived
Wesley Johnson -53 Gaines CB Missouri -53
Jordan Zumwalt -IR Quincey Enunwa WR Nebraska -53
Daniel McCullers -53 Beau Allen NT Wisconsin -53
Rob Blanch flower -PS Brelan Chancellor WR/KR North Texas -waived

Currently I would say I am in the lead. I have 7 roster members vs 6 for the Steelers. I also have 2 corners making the 53 man roster. This looks like an area the Steelers neglected in the draft after they signed a CB cut by the worst defense in the league last season. Also the other major area of concern for the Steelers is reserves on the offensive line. I believe Yankey is ahead of Johnson at this point. I will update again after teams decide on their 46 players getting a game hat.

How do you score? All Steelers draft picks have a job for the team, while 2 of yours were waived and didn't catch on anywhere else.

  16. Baramay Guest

Making the 53 man roster is more important than two practice squad. Also as I said two areas the Steelers look to be sorely lacking at OL and CB did not have a high value in the draft. What backup positions did you think played poorly in the preseason? Who makes the game day roster should be more telling later this week.

The only problem with scoring a Steelers draft,, is that when another team takes the player, and they either stick or not, doesn't mean they would have stuck or been cut in Pittsuburgh. I had Mosely over Shazier but every single one of my mocks had Tuitt in the second.

  18. Baramay Guest

I liked Mosley early on until I read about his injury history. That made it too risky as a mid first round pick. Then Shazier really impressed with his workout and it drew attention to his production. With today's NFL players have an easier time adding weight and often have longer careers like James Farrior. Also Timmons has gained the size to move over to buck.

Went to the Pitt vs Delaware game .. Tyler Boyd WR Pitt is for real - kid is going to be a good Pro. Keep an eye on James Conner also - RB - some power and quick feet. We have season tix to Pitt - so I'll see more of them this fall. Need to see the panthers vs better competition.

    enjoy,

    one of the idiots

Wow Derek Sherrod is bad. Getting absolutely abused at right tackle. Not going to mention names but I remember a certain anti-Tomlin, anti-Colbert guy in here ripping the Cam Heyward picking and lamenting not taking Sherrod.
