He would be worth bringing in if there is a spot open.

Would you take him at 12.5M per year?

And to answer your second question we don't have a better CB but we also don't have one that has given up 17 TDs in the last 4 years...

My sentiments exactly. The only reason I posted it here was because I was so astonished, and I didn't feel like it was meaty enough news to make a thread about. Brown is easily a top 10 NFL receiver, but if Haden is worth that much money, he'd beat Brown.

Not the first time he got him either. 2011...

Plus, what will the Browns do with Justin Gilbert when the time comes for his second contract - assuming Gilbert plays up to expectations, of course. Pierre Desir should prove to be no slouch either. The Browns had better enjoy this stacked luxury while they can. It won't last long.

OLB #45 last season. Flashed a few times as I remember.

Yep - OLB - flashed - at one point looked like he'd make the team... Real quick kid.. Surprised they kept Chris Carter...

    enjoy,

    one of the idiots

He had 2 sacks & 9 tackles last preseason.

ESPN has the Steelers ranked 17th in their power Rankings. CBS also has a mock 2015 draft up of who they think will be the top players next year......So if you want to see some of these guys play, look them up and see what college they play for. Then you will be more informative on them. According to CBS, Corner is supposed to be deep.....

EDIT: I don't watch college football. I have enough to watch now. Pitt basketball, Pirates, Penguins and the Steelers. Yard work and good movies. Not enough hours in the day for college football on a Saturday. I try to read all the articles I can come NFL draft time so I know something about the players. The only ones I know about are the ones they hype on all year.....

Should be able to get a good corner next draft.......I hope..... ;)

Actually Shazier was supposed to be a top 10 guy this year. What they think now doesn't always work out the next season.

Ike Taylor, 5 INTs (probably 10 drops), 162 tackles, 44 assists, 1 forced fumble
Joe Haden 13 INTs, 186 tackles, 41 assists, 3 forced fumbles

Another comparison to make would be catch % allowed, yards per reception allowed, and yards allowed per attempt. And Beach didn't list it, but I'm guessing Ike has given up 10 TDs in the past four years. All in all they are somewhat equal as players as far as stats can tell you. But I wonder if AB torches Ike in practice?

Ummm, they don't have corners in hockey AJM :p

Yea the ice has rounded edges.

My thought process is going to adjust to the trends. Explosive players without character flaws are in play. They do not value CB as much as DL or LB, recent trends prove this. So other than a few top notch CB's I'm giving the rest of them 3rd round grades or lower

But next season if our LBs and DL are playing as we expect we shouldn't be in the market for high picks again at those positions.

Well my ice is rounded and floating in my libation

  20. Thought you draft nuts would appreciate this particular segment that Steelers.com is doing. They are having a multi-episode series for information "behind the draft." This includes Coach Tomlin, Kevin Colbert, and scout interviews about what they look for, what they do during the scouting process, etc. While I don't believe they will reveal any revelations, it is very interesting to hear about their process. Here is episode 1: http://www.steelers.com/video-and-a...n-Begins/a9149c0c-1473-41ec-82cc-838ddea184fa
