I assume they went BPA on their own board, which NONE OF US can fault them for because that is the draft philosophy among this group. We may not always agree, but at least we're not Dallas.

That ^^^ also I am not that far off my game, Shazier was 13 on the board. Well my board, that you guys helped me shape. It's only my board because right now it's not half bad. When it starts to look bad, I am blaming everyone on here for swaying me one way or another.

  2. NY, you are by far the best of us here. I appreciate all the time you put in and, yea, Kiper has and always will be terrible. I couldn't watch ESPN?his hair freaks me out.

I actually feel bad for the Browns fans that are excited for drafting another pick 22 shot in the dark QB. JMFO but first year success, second year injuries and scheme will get the better of JF. Moving back to get a CB when you could have had Sammy Watkins and Josh Gordon on the same team. That my friends is about the dumbest scenario moving forward. Unless they hope 2015 Bills pick is worth it, not sure if another Watkins comes along every year. Again JMFO.

JC 43 TKl's with 19Asst. half the snaps, 2nd round pick.

Tyler Effert played in 15 games I'm not sure how many he started YET!

Also, Collins is first team with Hightower and Mayo.

    Some comments from the Steelers:

Shazier, 21, has "got both youth and experience," said Tomlin. "He has played a lot of football at Columbus, Ohio. Obviously, we?re always very comfortable looking at Ohio State defensive tape. They asked him to do a lot of similar things that we could envision asking him to do. In their base defense, he played inside and in sub-package football, he got after the quarterback quite a bit. In 2013, I think he had six sacks. He is a guy that will be on his feet, making sideline-to-sideline tackles associated with today?s football. We?re excited to have him and quite frankly, the man doesn?t have any holes. He?s a football lover, he?s experienced, he?s exciting, he?s excited to be here and we?re excited to have him."

"That burst is unique," said Colbert. "He?s going to grow, he has to get stronger, he?s going to have to get bigger. There are some big guys that will get on him on occasion, usually he figures it out on the first time and he?ll go make another play."

"I think he just represents what?s going on in football today," said Tomlin. "College football, with the ability to spread people out, you need people that can play in vertical and horizontal space. He has shown the ability to do that. It has leaked over into the professional game. Just the other day we were talking about the expansion of sub-package football and what that means to defenses going forward. This is a guy that really excels under those circumstances."

Do you not understand the difference between a 3-4 OLB and a 4-3 OLB?

Mario Williams played 1000 snaps and had less tackles than Jamie Collins too. It's two different positions Breed. Wake up.

Christ if tackles tell the story you should have stopped complaining about Timmons after his second season. He had 65 tackles and 5 sacks.

  8. It's okay. A homeless guy told Jimmy Haslam to draft Manziel. Glad he took his advice and made sure his GM did too (this is a true story).

That whole thing was EERILY similar to the Brady Quinn thing. Probably will end the same too. I kind of feel bad for Manziel because the AFC North is going to be gunning for him. All three other teams have decent defenses (that are getting better with the 1st round draft picks!) and will be hungry to knock Johnny Football's smug grin off his face. I see quite a few "welcome to the NFL" hits coming for him this season.

Again, wake up. Before Mayo went out for the year Collins was playing 8 snaps a game.

And who does JJ have infront of him ? Often injured Worilds and Woodley or else he probably wouldnt have seen the field because he sucks on ST.

I'll say this about Manziel. He went to the perfect guy if they want him on the field right away. Kyle Shanahan has been down this road once and RGIII set the record for QB rating by a rookie. The question is can that o-line do what the Redskins o-line did in 2012? They need an upgrade at both Guard positions. A healthy Ben Tate will take a lot of pressure off Manziel.

Be careful what you guys say about the kid. He landed in a good spot.

Uh he won the starting job Breed and then lost it because of contain issues. You can make all the excuses in the world but the guy played in over 65% of the snaps last year and you're hearing bitching about taking guys who won't contribute early. What do you want to bet that Shazier plays 700+ snaps next year? We can both mail checks to a guy in here you trust and collect at the end of the year. You pick the dollar amount. I'm all in.

Jarod Mayo is one of the most over-rated players in the NFL, his stats look good on paper, but when you break down film, more than half of his tackles are 5 yards downfield.

Donte Hightower was Keith Butler's guy in the DeCastro draft. But giving him a pass in year one, year two was his rookie campaign more or less, I have to say Pittsburgh took the best OG in the draft. Bunghole fans will argue Zeitler was better, I disagree whole-heartedly. Now that Mike Munchak can coach up some of this talent they picked, watch this season unfold as the Pittsburgh STeelers run the ball, punish Defenses, and eat the clock. It also helps that our Front office went out and got a big back with a chip on his shoulder ever since he punched out Byron Hout of Boise State.

Jamie Collins, I cannot argue with you one bit. I participated in 3 collaborative drafts last year, every single one of them I drafted Collins. Would Bell be there in round 3, perhaps, not guaranteed. My biggest issue with the 2013 was round 4, moving up for a guy they could have waited 2 picks for and leaving us with a Grand Canyon of a hole today between picks 46 and 97.

Breed, you are a passionate fan, welcome on here, but dude take those sour apples and make some Hard Cider out of it. Some people turn lemons into lemonade, I just bite into them and down shots of Tequila.

We all know he will play whether he deserves it or not because has a 1st round paycheck coming and a last years 5 or 6th round draft pick starting in front him. That would be another benched millionaire.

Didn't you just say the opposite a couple of pages ago ^^^^?

Round 2 predictions, what you guys got.

Teams start hitting DL now, two guys I want to go before the Steelers pick, Nix and Jerk-Again. Expect a run on tall WR, it might get ugly. There are still 4-5 OL players with top talent, they won't last.

With the top 4 safeties gone, the next level guys are third rounders. But that will not stop 2 teams from taking a Safety.

CB there could be another run, but I think only 2-3 CB fall in this round.

2 more QB will be taken in round 2, I think Houston passes on Carr, they are still shell=shocked with the first Lemon (bad Carr) they got.

    The Texans, my guess right now, is Marquisse Lee. Although I would really look hard at Botinio and Moses.;

NY I get to disagreeing with beach and Mano and it comes out worse than I really feel it is.
I'll tone it down bit out respect for the rest of you.

Not that I dont have a lot of respect for both beach and Mano they are very intelligent and know their football.

  19. ravens_R_#1 Legend Ravens

You may be right but I'd be surprised if the Texans take Lee. They still have Andre Johnson (although older) and Deandre Hopkins. They'd be better suited not drafting a #3 WR with the first pick of the 2nd round
