Another thing I think, I have to take my hat off to Walter Football. Ok I do not agree with many of their picks, but..... for anyone who ever tried a mock, do it for 7 rounds. I did it, and it was a living hell. Heck I would love to have the time to tweak it because lets be honest, Clowney id going to the Texans, Bortles is going from 8-16. But I learned a lot.

Maybe this draft will have a record number of trades, and I would applaud it. Get the player you want at the price you want. ONe thing to consider, if Colbert slides back for Fuller, the Jets at 18 are eyeing CB. If Pittsburgh passes on Mosley, they will have to deal with him twice a year when Ozzie selects him. Miami at 19, even I don't iike that spot,, it's too early or too late for who or whom I think they might target.

  2. I don't see Colbert sliding back with Fuller on the board (regardless of what I said earlier). He said it in his press conference that, if you slide back, you want to have 4-5 players in mind, just because you have to be willing to lose whatever commodity you could have had at 15. I don't see 4-5 players I like better than Fuller, but I haven't done the amount of research the front office has. If they like Fuller, take him at 15 and don't worry about what they could have had. They NEED secondary depth more than they need another ILB and Fuller is one of the best in the draft.

NEED is the wrong word... BPA - If they have a choice of Mosley - the best ILB in the draft and the 3rd CB on the board - I go Mosley.... and I'm with NY - If Mosley is on the board when the Ravens pick - if they stay put - We see the kid twice a year...

The gulf in class between mosely and the others in this class is VAST. Im not sure how to compare him to others, he is growing on me more and more, i like him more than i ever like mcclain coming out or hightower, almost more than i like luke from last year too. he can play, and i agree with someone who said that the game will slowly transition back to the ground, because its still vastyl important if you see which teams succceed each year and you need a good linebacker leading from the heart of your defense, communication is SO undervalued.

Guess im agreeing with the godfather and the guru- surpise huh?

  5. I have to disagree with both of you on a couple of points. I use the word "NEED" when describing the corner position because, as it stands, Ike Taylor has lost a step and is 34, Cortez Allen is good but not incredible and William Gay is great at times and awful at times. We are paper thin at OLB, but I don't see them getting one in the 1st round, as we have starters on the roster. On top of that, we have quite a few ILB's on the roster right now, with Timmons a solid starter and several other people that can BECOME starters.

Mosley is VERY good, but I don't see him in the black and gold IF guys like Gilbert and Fuller are available at 15. Every team in the AFC North has an elite receiver right now and it is important for the Steelers to find a guy to compete with them as soon as possible.

Indy - you are probably right in a CB over Mosley for us - I just do not like the word Need... Teams get into trouble drafting for need.. I have no idea what the Steelers board looks like.. Very possible they have 3 CB's rated higher than Mosley - if that is the case - the CB pick will be a good one.

BPA works well for a reason, i see where you are coming from and its great when need meet BPA, but you have to stick to the latter. i dont see any of these CB's being better talent wise than Mosely- if he is there, he is and should be the pick

Great pick. I thought he would a solid choice to get at the 6th rd comp, but that's even better value

No doubt about it. Tuitt has played DE in the 3-4 and Allen has played DT in Wisconsin's 4-3 as well as NT in their 3-4 last year. If they could land both, even if they use a pick on Allen, I would be extremely happy with that. The DL would become very young, but very athletic and beastly.

  15. Understandable. Teams that draft for need DO often end up at the bottom of the draft year after year (unless you "Matt Millan" it?which is an entirely different problem altogether). However, when looking at the depth chart, there are several positions that they lack talent AND depth at, and there happen to be some very good players at those positions that could decrease that particular situation. Cornerback, in my opinion, seems to be the most logical choice.

Those were my thoughts too 2k. But it all very possibly could happen. I cannot see the Steelers trading out of that spot if the top 2 CBs are available though. No guarantees to get one 7 spots back.
