I actually like Lee, perhaps im in the minority, if think if he checks out medically then i dont see an issue with him as a player, i like him more than everyone but Evans and Watkins ( evans being my favourite- that body control and hands are rare). Lee has a ridiculous ceiling, he plays fast, i dont care about track meets, i kind of approach lee like Nix, i think Nix is a top 15-20 talent this draft, I REALLY like him, i dont know why but when i saw him earlier in the year i thought i was watching a few plays where it was ngata at oregon, he just flashed, anyone who gets him in teh second, provided his Knee( i think its his Knee) checks out, he is a steal.

I agree and Mayock put out his mock last night, both Dennard and Gilbert were off the board, and he smelled TRADE for the Steelers because Johnny Phuqueball had not been drafted, and well Jerry Jones is a man of many hats and a horrible GM. I don't get the hate on Mosely and Barr, the backbone of the 3-4 is the LB. Get pressure, stop the run, and the DB's don't have to cover for 5 seconds. Sure Ike is on his last legs, but how much of that was Woodley in the hot tub, Two rookie LB's starting, and not Big Snack up the middle.

What I don't have is a list of those 30 players, and I agree, there are clues to this puzzle. Don't bank on 3 QB before 15, I see 1 maybe two. Carr is probably going to Cleveland at 26. Teams are getting smarter, after imipoding with picks like Freeman, Ponder, Quinn, Weeden, heck is Jimmy Limo still in the NFL, ask Mel he's the "expert"

    im on board with 1-3.

I really want a safety in the first two rounds for the ravens, Either HCD or Brooks.

I would lose my collective poop if Barr slid to the ravens somehow, BPA ALL DAY.

Manziel goes top 5, with someone trading up with at least 2 firsts.

    The browns trade back.

The pats Trade UP and grab a WR- bold prediction i think they target the likes of an odell beckham.

    I need some crazier predictions....

Dennard slides till the late 20;s because people are stupid.

CJ mosely slides if the steelers or ravens dont select him because...see above.

hageman slides to the second ( not too bold i guess).

St louis trade down and up with Evans and ....Bortles BOLD PREDICTION right there

Texans are fishing.... for large game - I doubt there is anyone stupid enough to make that trade

I recently saw the draft movie with Kevin "cant act" Costner and this smells of that.. maybe the Texans front office want out and saw the movie...

Every year (almost every year) i think qb's willslide because they dont represent the best value and then Gabbert happens, people are setin their ways, they want to stamp their name on a franchise and will pick a 'sexy' pick, i can see bortles, carr, manziel and even terry going in the first with 3 of them inside 15.

as far as UDFA RB's, my sleeper is a kid out of Syracuse, Jerome Smith, only a Junior, probably bring him into camp. I watched 3 Syracuse games and he's got something. Also like his team-mate Marquis Spruill, kid could be a ST player, he just finds the ball.

Going on about small school prospects who will translate into the NFL, it's a coin toss on Billy Turner, OT, but I am pretty confident on Terrance West RB out of Towson. Hard nosed guy who will put the work in, he doesn't quit until he is on the ground. Reading more on LSU players, geez Mettenberger is a creep, and Jeremy Hill had 2 arrests. I think one was a bar fight, okay I get that, but another was a sexual assault. Hey we went down this road before, even though he sent Dan Rooney a letter of explanation, he is more than likely off their board for character.

Anyone catch the Dan Patrick interview with Kahlil Mack ?

He seams like a very smart, good kid. Too bad he will be long gone before the Steelers pick.
He might be one of the best overall football players in the draft.

  10. I am VERY much looking forward to tonight's festivities! I want to say thank you to all of you who watched tons of game tape and created scouting sheets for the rest of us to enjoy.

That being said, I have to agree with Mayock on his analysis. If one or two of the "vaunted" QB's fall, and Dennard is off the board, I would not be surprised to see them trade down down and pick up a couple of extra picks. Kyle Fuller is fine, and may end up an absolute stud at this level, but I don't like him as much as DD.

I like the kid from ND over J.Smith - Smith has sun dial speed... George Atkinson III... who is also a Jr - Atkinson is a returner as well and I dont think a 4.8+ 40 yard back like SMith is an option there... This 3rd RB (behind Bell and Blount) needs to be a change of pace guy, can catch the football and contirbute on ST...

Also - like the kid from Sam Houston State - Flanders - see Danny Whitehead.. as an UDFA...

  12. However, my caveat to why Kyle Fuller shot up the draft boards is his interviews. His tape is really good, but if he impressed EVERYONE when he talked to them with his understanding of the game and his learning process, I see him being a VERY productive at the next level. I do like Dennard better, but I like Fuller WAY more than Gilbert.

Having Polamalu, Dennard/Fuller, "the Shark," and Cortez Allen in the secondary will be pretty awesome.

FUnny stuff you mention that over-rated actor, he is the same guy in every movie. No mannerism change, voice change, no discerning difference in his deamenor. TURRIBLE. I did however like FIeld of Dreams. THe funny thing is, Burt Lancaster as Moonliht Graham had about a 1 minute scene and stole the movie. Even Ray Liotta was better in that movie as Shoeless Joe.

and James Earl Jones... was in field of dreams if I recall - who was fantastic in "The Great White Hope"

Change of pace back also, Jerrick McKinnon out of Georgia Southern we both like, an option in the 5th, if he lasts. Smith timed with a sundial, now that's funny,

You don't want Smith, slow, I get it, but you want Skov?? Take a page out of the Bill Nunn book and find me an athlete Skov is at his ceiling now, JMFO.

Other stiffs I don't like: McCullers, Mewhort, Lawson the Grabber.

I for one - am not sold on "the shark"... I need to see more - as of now, all I see is a backup/roll player - not a starter. Could he develop? man I sure hope so, but I dont see it- maybe why we want out and got Mitchell?

Skov is off my list... He's another sundial kid... I'd rather have the kid from Mich State...

remmeber Robert Clay a few years back... Mr Sundial...

The kid from Western Kty is another plodder....A.Andrews

the other RB I like is a bigger body kid from Coastal... but I dont think he is a fit now that we have L.Blount

He will be an all pro before Clowney gets his second contract

Another thing about this draft, and in general the Tv coverage, they talk down to the fans like us, because they have to. But..... I want to throw a brick at my tv every time they focus on Manziel or Clowney. They are less than 1% of the players that will be taken. It's the Tom Brady at pick 199 all over again, like a broken record stuck on a Jukebox in the Twilight Zone.

Even Mayock admits he likes to talk about CB runs, or sleepers, but the focus on this draft, and every draft before and after 2014 will focus on QB.

Now drop Mettenberger further down. Not just he sucks, or he's a sexual predator,, several teams failed him medically for his knee and his back.
