Yes, and I posted that on the Collaboritive thread. I would say at the combine he was a mid second consideration. After the combine I would say round 4 or later. It is not the diluted drug test that bothers me, it's he got his [del]Doctor[/del]Mommy to get him a note. He had to leave Georgia because: 1. Aaron Murray was better 2. He had a fake ID and groped some poor young girl(s). I believe I mentioned I was removing him from my board, read back perhaps.

Wow it's NFL Draft Eve, Mayock's mock comes out tonight. I wish NFN would stop using Ian Rappaport for inside intel, he is a sniveling twit with unsubstantiated bits.

I will go round by round, at all the possible picks, starting with round one. I am going to put down a buttload of players, because not everyone is tuned into the level we try and create. I noticed this on Facebook yesterday a post came out from a Steelers Site, who will be the pick in 2014,, they showed pics of Heyward , DeCastro, Jones. Some of the comments, well over half were just ignorant and unfounded. They called the last 3 busts. Jones was a rookie, starting in a complex defenses,, give him time. Heyward was our best DL and DeCastro was our best OL. To say class this miss would imply or infer these jackwagons attended some form of organized education. After reading their statements, I highly doubt they finished High school, if they even made it that far. Here are some of the names I saw the General public on Facebook throw out there, other than the comedians listing past & present players, they added nothing to the table.

    In no particular effing order:

Justin Gilbert, 6-0, 202, CB Oklahoma State.
Postives: Fluid athlete, fast, tall, and adds in a Returner to Special Teams. raw speed.
Negatives: Is he an athlete or a football player ,needs to hit the weight room.

Darqueze Dennard: 5-11, 199, CB, Michigan State

Positives: Deserves the title "no fly Zone" the name fits, physical, well coached, tackles well.
Negatives: might be at his ceiling, plays press man, a little handsy, LeBeau plays off man mostly.

Kyle Fuller: 6-0, 190, CB, Virginnia Tech

Positives: Mike Mayock calls him the best CB in the draft, has ball skills
Negatives: Slender build,, 2013 was a down year.

Eric Ebron: 6-4, 250, TE North Carolina

Positives: Matchup nightmare, gives Pittsburgh a dual threat at TE, more advanced than Vernon Davis at this point of their careers.
Negatives: Blocks like a Sally, Heath Miller is still da man, is not consistent game to game. If we pass on him,, Baltimore will send an SST up to the podium.

CJ Mosely: 6-2, 235, ILB, Alabama

Positives: The number one player at his position, and it's not even close.Plays all 3 downs, is a natural leader with instincts.

Negatives: not as valuable as CB or WR in a passing league.

Anthony Barr: 6-4 250, OLB, UCLA

Positives: Untapped potential,, explosive off the ball,, seeks and destroys, good size& speed.
Negatives: Only 2 years as a LB, had some avg. games, some dominant ones.

Odell Beckham Jr.: 5-11, 198, WR, LSU

positives: absolute playmaker, gets seperation, can be a special returner,, YAC, underclassman.
negatives: Not the biggest apple in the cart, we already have a plethera of fast little dudes.

Brandin Cooks: 5-10, 189, WR Oregon State

positives: Great hands, catrches everything, runs crisp routes, seperates from CB
    negatives: Even Smaller than Beckham

Kelvin Benjamin: 6-5, 245,WR ,Florida State

Positives: He's a winner, only a Redshirt Sophomore, huge upside, matchup nightmare
Negatives: Immaturity, rounds off routes, not very polished, weight concerns, is he a TE??

Rasheed Haggean; 6-6 310, DT, Minnesota

Positives: Prototypical 5 technique, eats blockers, penetrates, bats down passes & clogs lanes.
Negatives: Inconsistent, needs coaching and heavier hands, mid first is a slight reach.

Aaron Donald: 6-0 (barely) 285 when wet.

Positives: He already plays at Heinz Field. Explosive, unblockable, Energizer Bunny mode.
Negatives: No spot for him in a 3-4, will get pushed back in the middle, too short for DE, and wrong bpdy type for LB. He's off my board but at least 5% of the General Public believes he wold be good in a Steelers uniform. *ROSE*

    Mike Evans; 6-5,, 235, WR Texas A&M

positives: catches ball at highest point, redzone target, very productive
negatives: can be pouty,, not a polished route runner, won't be there at 15, bank on it.

    Zach Martin, 6-4 308, OG/OT Notre Dame

Positives: Technician, injury free, plug and play, low risk blue collar kid, position flexible.
Negatives: He is good not dominant,, Pittsburgh has good depth at OG and OC.

Taylor Lewan, 6-7, 309, OT ,Michigan

Positives: Nasty run blocker, good kickslide,, he won;t be there
Negatives: His on and off the Field actions remind me of Richie Incpgnito, red flags like China.

Bradley Roby, 5-11, 194, CB Ohio State

Positives: His 2012 tape is great,, and well he's from Ohio State
Negatives: inconsistent, I question his mental toughness and film study, Aberderis ate him alive.

    Hasean Clinton-Dix 6-1 208, FS, Alabama

Positives: well coached, comes from a Perenial Winner, Bigger safety, ball skills
Negatives: Just signed Mike Mitchell, Dix is not as physical as a Ryan Clark, slightly over-rated

Calvin Pryor: 5-11, 207, FS, Louisville

Positives: Hits like a Steeler ,better ball skills than you would think as a guided missle.
Negatives: Given the current roster he may not even start until his contract is half over. IOW, he's going to make a phuctun of money playing ST.

I never really thought he was that good at LSU. Just another product of their system. When you think about it, how many good, not great, QBs have come from the Les Miles system?

I don't think his arm strength is as great as the "analysts" say and his leadership has got to be in question. If you can't look out for yourself, then how can you lead 52 other men on game day?

  5. Big difference between him and other Les Miles players is the system. That was Cam Cameron's first season at LSU and he ran a pro style offense, which LSU had never done prior to him getting there.

Link? That's why it's the Bleacher Report, it's credibility mirrors The National Inquirer. Even Kiper having Pittsburgh taking Beckham @ 15 is more logical than them
    Moving up to 8. *JOKINGLY*

  9. I'd have to re-Google it but it involved trading a second and getting a third.

    I have a few questions/observations, NYB:

I think these guys may be close enough in talent that the greater need at CB might push Dennard above Mosley. Or do I have too much confidence in Vince Williams?

I'm torn on these two - what is it that makes you put Hageman above STEPHON Tuitt?

Would you take Carr in the 2nd round if he is at the top of the board? I would personally put him much lower under guys like Moncrief, Gaines, and D. Adams. Again, a need-based thought. Same for Bortles or any other QB.

    Jarvis Landry

Where would you draw the line between #1/#2 picks, or #2/#3, etc.? Since Colbert stated he sees up to 19 guys he would take at 15, that puts us all the way to Hageman. Would you go that far?

All in all, a great list. I lack the mental capacity to rank guys after about 50, so I appreciate the time and effort.

  11. nybites M.V.P. Steelers UCONN

Moving Carr back makes a shittun of sense. Haggeman is bigger and at times takes over the LOS & Tuitt had recent foot surgery. Jarvis Landry man I should be cutting meat the way I keep butchering his name. I also think Jeremy Hill is too low I could argue he's the top RB in this class Mosley is a better prospect than Dennard but see my comments on his positional value

  12. Steelroc74 Franchise Player Steelers

LTS, no I don't think you're giving Vince Williams too much credit, matter of fact a lot of people on here are not giving him enough credit, ready to write him off. I believe NYB just said according to people on his facebook account calling the last 3 #1 picks busts, and he stated that Jarvis was a rookie in a complex defense, why are we willing to give Jarvis that benefit but Williams who was also a rookie in that same defense, we're ready to demote.

  13. nybites M.V.P. Steelers UCONN

I like Vince Williams but Mosley is an upgrade and a 3 down player. I like him better than Sly and we have not seen what Moats can do in this system. Simply put The Steelers need to get younger and more talented on Defense.

Sometimes BPA doesn't always fit need. If by some Phuccun' miracle Buchanon is there @ 46 I
Will be the biggest table pounding maniac since somebody swiped the last Twinkie off Rosie O'Donnel's plate. *YAHOO*

    Round 2 potential targets:

Allen Robinson 6-3 220 WR PSU
    Positives: big, fast, good hands
Negatives : not much to not like

Jason Verrett 5-9 189 CB TCU
Positives: LB for LB the best player in the draft, footwork is awesome
    Negatives: on the smallish size

Davante Adams : 6-1 212 WR Fresno ST
Positives: Fluid, KR, only a redshirt sophomore
Negatives: avg. speed & level of competition plus having Carr as his QB helped his #'s

Stephon Tuitt: 6-6 304. DT Notre Dame

Positives: active along the LOS, rangy and can bat down passes
Negatives : Doctors found foot issues @ Combine required surgery

Kyle Van Noy : 6-3 243, OLB BYU

Positives: productive pass rusher , good speed & instincts, mature
Negatives . A few years older Mormon Missionary

    Phillip Gaines, 6-0,193,CB RICE

Positives: huge upside, ball skills, runs and turns like a gazelle
Negatives: level of competition a little raw, @46 slight reach

Martavius Bryant: 6-4 211. WR Clemson

Positives: yards per catch, downfield threat, stretches field
Negatives: needs to hit the weight room and run crisper routes

Deone Buchanon. 6-1 218 , SS WASH. ST.

Positives: big hard hitting safety, 15 career picks. Explosive to the ball
Negatives: team need & he is most likely already selected

Bishop Sankey. 5-10 209 RB WASH

Positives: great change of direction, can break it, catches well
Negatives: @46 this is a luxury pick

Jeremy Hill, 6-1 233, RB LSU

Positives: always going forward, runs inside , moves chains , vision & power, only 21 yrs old
Negatives: with Bell & Blount there won't be enough touches for all 3 power backs, character issues had to send out letters of reference to Al 32 teams

Not a waste, but with so little time remaining why not just bold the names on the big board?

  18. I agree w this post bout gettn the best ILB while mayb gettn a 3rd or 4th DB at that position in round 2, but Im gonna study the Aub/Bama game now and c how Mosley played

  19. I know this is 1 game but I figured it wuld b the best since Aub is physical running the ball.......Mosley was getting destroyed when Aub ran right at him....he was more effective on the jet sweeps and outside zone plays. He does bring it when he blitzes. I think #15 is 2 high after reviewing that game...good athlete but btm half of round 1 IMO

  20. Finally less than 24 hours away. But of course I have to work at 5:45 the next morning :( . Still, I'll be spending all day today looking forward too it.
