Nope Kiper is still a pompous horse's ass, but.... He's dead nuts right about Roby, way too inconsistent. I have a list of fire and ice Yinz can chime in when I post it. Basically guys like Howard Jones are Fire and Mettenberger is ice. If need be I can do this on a thread all it's own or we can keep it here . Thoughts ??

Back to Kiper, he will never admit he chunked it always has an excuse. For example I was sold on Brent Urban , I went from pounding the table to tapping it. truth be told Taylor Hart is going to be a better 5 technique than him or Shamar Stephen. I'll admit I was wrong when I'm wrong pretty simple.

Ny I was just reading a article about how first rd picks are the only rookies that come with a 5th year option. Wouldn't that drive more teams to pick a QB in the first seeing how they would demand a much higher contract if they perform well in their first 3 years?

 

Yes good point someone will Try & slide ahead of teams picking 33-40 probably with Hoodie @29. conversely San Diego is in the cat bird's seat @ 25 one spot ahead of Cleveland who will be eyeing Derek Carr after passing on Johnny Assmunch & taking Sammy Watkins.

Agreed. CB in 1 WR in 2 were annihilated. Tuitt was value and so wasn't Mosley . Round. 4 Blew goats I did better in 5 &. 6. Mulligan on Crowell should have gone with a different back

 

C.J. Fiedorowicz, TE, Iowa
Fiedorowicz is a sleeper to watch. The four top-rated tight ends - Eric Ebron, Jace Amaro, Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Troy Niklas - should all be gone by early in the third round at the very latest. With Fiedorowicz being the consensus fifth-ranked tight end, he could easily be selected on Friday night. There is a real drop off at the position behind Fiedorowicz, but also a number of teams looking to improve their tight ends. Don't be surprised if Fiedorowicz goes much earlier than expected on draft day.

I know I do - so I'm beating you guys do to.. Lock on to some players.. So I want out and tried to find some players that are on our radar or haven't talked about.. The exception is the first couple of rounds... so - Here's a little different Mock draft with a few names we may not have talked about:

1) D.Dennard CB Mich st.. - If we stay put at #15 - I think he may be the pick here.. Still hoping to move back with say the Eagles.... getting a third round pick back in exchange for moving back

2) Cody Latimer WR Indy - the taller WR for Ben here - He is moving up the boards - I think he will be one of the better Rnd 2 WR's

3-comp) Telvin Smith OLB Florida State - I was high on him in the fall and still am - in fact has moved ahead of his class mate Christian Jones on many of the big boards - kid is quick - and finds the football. *REF* Failed drug test - red flagged myself - I'll leave the pick for now... Geeze I am one of the idiots...

4) Taylor Hart DE Oregon - Doesn't look the part - but quick off the snap - and at 6'6" has the height we like out of our DE's in our 3-4 - has played the NT and DT as well as OLB at Oregon

5) Jerick McKinnon RB Georgia Southern - I watched a lot of the div playoffs and senior bowls - kid did not disappoint

5-comp) Brock Coyle ILB Montana - Is going to be the better LB from Montana in this draft over Jordan Tripp - highly productive at UM

6) Larry Webster DE/TE Bloomsburg St - I've mentioned this kid before has the frame to put on the needed weight to play DE and is an ex-bball player that may be a player that could develop into a nice TE... we'll see

6-comp) Kirby Van Der Kamp P - Iowa St - I am tired of the revolving door at P - let's get a kid and lock down the position for 10 years - I think SB is high on him also..

7) Jonathon Dowlings FS/CB Western Kty - Can play both FS and CB - Has some issues - but here is where to take the risk - not day 1 or 2 - good speed - good cover guy - frame to add stength - a younger player that we can give time too to develop.

As well as Zach Mettenberger. I wonder if that will affect his stock much at all?
