Well that makes sense, Johnny Ashole wear's #2 because he is number 2.

I certainly appreciate the half dozen of you still assiting or commenting here, this year is even worse than last, very little input or participation in the home stretch. I cannot fault anyone for any reason because this is more or less unimportant in the grand scheme of life.

    2. Family & pets
    3. Job
    4. Home and Vehicle Upkeep & Maintenance
    5. Hobbies, such as the NFL

I said it before, something like this, but you have to look at the bigger picture. This is our 7th rodeo as a group, the names and sites come and go, but it's good that most of us stuck together. It was a real tough winter for many of us in the North, and with Radio Chitty Music Hall forcing Roger Goodhell to postpone the draft 2 weeks. The added time, more or less sucks Rhino ass. The first week of May I travel and the Collaborative Draft should have been over and done with weeks ago. Most of us are home owners, dads, coaches, etc. or all of the above. I sort of hope the ratings tank this year, I do not like the draft this late, it is screwing with my schedule and by the looks of things, most everyone else as well.

As far as alcohol for the draft, I have 5 selections in my bar in the Man/Pinball Cave. Leinkugal Summer Shandy & Orange Shandy, Yeungling Lager, Rolling Rock, Bud Light. I will toss back a few, but have to watch my count due to medical reasons. But if the Steelers follow anything close to Charlie Campbell's 7 round mock, I will be pounding them, and here is why.

Dear Charlie: The Steelers have Kelvin Beachum, they are not drafting a late OL with flexability. Shane Skov is NOT a fit for this team and he is not athletic enough to start on a LeBeau Defense. For the life of me, I cannot see them taking Bradley Roby over Dennard and Fuller, and passing on CJ Mosley. Moncrief I buy, but I have Tuitt and Robinson rated higher I'll agree to disagree. Skov over Desir and Aikens, I strongly disagree. Bruce Ellington I understand, but doubling up on WR is possible, I would rather double up on CB or DL at the top of the draft given the depth at WR this year. Even Smallwood makes more sense since his first 3 picks did not address ILB. Round 5, oh , Justin Britt, meh and sorry I watched Will Clarke and Jackson Jeffcoat this past fall, Clarke will be the better pro. Round 6, I actually like Antonio Andrews over Max MIA Bullough, he's another LB I hope Pittsburgh passes on. You play your career hoping to go to the Rose Bowl, then you do something really retarded to miss the game of your life. RED FLAG NO THANKS. Jamea Thomas, not much to argue with, other than he went before James Gayle and Howard Jones. Round 7, again Rob Branchflower TE, UMass, curtently injured, I say he may go undrafted. I did not see Blake Annen go off the board, or my sleeper out of Fresno State, Marcel Jensen.

Ny, I agree with you about the draft shouldn't have been pushed back. The ugly part of it is the event that caused the push back was delayed and Radio City Music Hall was idle the days the draft would have been. I can't understand how the place could have allowed some one else to book something during the NFLs time slot anyways. It is not like the NFL doesn't do this every year same time same place . I hope they move it around to the different team cities from now on. Screw Radio City and the horse they road in on.

BIngo NY.. and for me too.. I've had to spend more time on 1-4 than on #5 on your list this year...

I read Campbells mock this morning and.. :!

I try and put up my last one for this year in a day or so...

Where I do disagree with you in on Max Bullough(beside a.andrews has sundial speed) - not much risk in the 6th round.. and I like his upside over Borland. I;d even entertain the TE from Oregon... Lycerla(sp) with 6th/7th also.. I mean we took a BIG chance on Adams in the second with real bad past history.. so.. we'll see... Where I dont want to see us taking these risks is in round 1-4.....

    enjoy,

yeah, you're not alone on the MIA, even my posting is way down and I not as prepared as 2009 or 2010, maybe about the same as last year. Two weeks late and a dollar short, the Commisioner reminds me of Obama in many regards, not putting my best interests in correct order.

Hopefully the participation will increase on the 3 days of the draft, but if it doesn't, again blame the asshat who took away our Sacred Week-end and turned into a Prime Time Joke for "Draft Wannabees". Basically your avg. NFL fan does not know jack about anything past round 1-2, hopefully some of the readers can appreciate what we do to educate ourselves and distance ourselves from the Casual fan.

I can see why you like Bullough, tough kid, hard hitter, maybe he needs redemption and has a chip on his shoulder. I would take Jordan Zumwalt over him any day and all day. I like Howard Jones because of his upside,. he blew away everyone at the combine. Right now he is undisciplined but coming from a Small School he can be coached up, I like his ceiling, remind me of the DT that they took last year, Williams, you don't find guys with that size and speed very often. Jones has strength and explosion it shows up when you measure him. Again, Keith Bulter can possibly mold him into a ST animal, and a backup LB on the active roster.

The more I read about Mosely, the more I think I would wait on CB in round one. That is my board, not Colbert's, he's a 3 down LB that next to Timmons will fix a lot of the HOLES that RB found last year. You need to replace Foote, that is a hard reality, I think Mosley is the guy. I will be PO'd if they take Roby, too inconsistent for pick 15, I like Dennard better. ROund 2 is your WR, I think one of the 3-4 we like will be there in that ragne. (Adams, Moncrief, Robinson, possibly Bryant)

It sucks for sure. However there is one positive to it being pushed back for mock purposes. Although it definitely is getting everyone tired of doing it and it is affecting people's lives, RT and I both would 100% not have been able to run the mock if it happened earlier. I was swamped until the day before we started it.

Thanks for sticking it through guys.

p.s. I can't believe the commish is considering extending hte draft to 4 days. What the heck! I liked it at 2.

Roger Ramjet took away our week-end,, and put our little bit of Sanctity in prime time, all for more $, he is a sellout. The draft was an all day week-end event you could tailgate, bbq, have friends over, etc.. those interested could just lock away the week-end and watch as much or as little as possible. Now Capt. Asshat pushes 3 rounds into the evenings, whoever thought that was a good idea, I'd like to kick them in the balls and clang the aross the face with a garden spade. It sucks, and I am not alone. The problem lies in the masses, most of which won't even watch rounds 4-7 or even know who is who when picked. The demographic has changed, all of us older guys, old school NFL watchers, don't like to be told when to watch something based on tv advertising revenue. The NFL is a good product, the Draft is like Christmas to many, but Bad Santa is crapping down my chimney.

Trust me it isn't much different for us younger guys that have half a brain.

  14. I certainly feel you there. I can't speak for the rest of you but I feel like I'm infinitely busier now than I was back on CBS, real life finally catching on. But, I am still as excited as ever and can't wait for Thursday.

    What NY said...

And Yeah the later rounds for me are 'big things come in small packages" rounds 99% of the NFL draft coverage is the top ten guys.. Well no sheet.. We all know the top 10 will be gone in the first 15-20 picks.. I'm sick of hearing whether CLowney is going 1st to Texas or 2nd... but no - they beat that to death.. How about talking about Day 3 of the draft for a change...

And let's see... Rounds 2 and 3 Friday night are going agains the Pens vs Rangers Game 5.. I'll be watching Hockey.

    enjoy,

I was watching a little ESPN because they had 3 guys talking about the draft, I think Kiper was one and 2 other guys that aren't on the show much. I think it was Kiper that said Roby is inconsistent. He can make some good plays and he can get beat also. He was saying he wouldn't take him over somebody else. Too inconsistent to go in a high round. Just thought I'd bring that up considering some of you were talking about Roby. Btw, I was only stopped to watch it because they were talking about the draft. Do you like Kiper any better now, Bites? Haha.....

I'm with U BB. I'll tune it in during some commercials....Nuff Said! You can always get the full rundown after the Pens game or the next morning......

Edit: Colbert said on the news that this is the best draft of players that he has seen in the 30 years he's been involved with the draft......
