    I'd go with Moncrief right now.

    Agree unless Tuitt fell, Moncrief is my top 2nd rd WR.
    Now to keep our fingers crossed to see what CBs are there at 97

    Tuitt did fall, Moncrief is a late second to mid third. Tuitt is a late first to mid
    second. Obviously Tuitt was my pick we lost Hood & Al Woods it made sense

    15. CJ Mosley
    46. Steven Tuitt

    and I would have gone Allen Robinson or Deonne Buchannon but both gone

    97 and 118 I'll fill the 2 needs I hear rumblings over

    I read the Steelers like Lattimore and are watching him closely. He's a WR out of Indiana at 6'2", 190........

    What a draft 2014 would be with those two guys!

    I would like to argue the area of need for ILB. Who we got, Moats, Spence, and Williams, do those names inject fear into anyone. Mosley is a playmaker.

    I know we need WR and CB I am not oblivious, but Fuller was a reach at 15. I would have traded back to 3 but it fell through. I like Tuitt better than Nix and I think he is going to be a solid 5 technique in the NFL. Keisel is unsigned as far as I know, Hood and Woods gone. We have depth at WR and CB but not super starts. The last time the Steelers went CB in round one, was a guy who was replacing Woodson, Chad Scott. When have they gone LB in round 1, Twice since 2007.

    Now add in the fact I was on an Ipad, on vacation, in a parking lot in Allentown, PA dodging raindrops making pick 46 sitting inside my pickup truck. I had just returned from Altoona and drove just under 600 miles today So any criticism I would tread lightly, I am not in shape or form to argue or explain myslef. My next pick I will be home Sunday morning and I will have more organization. I will defend the Tuitt pick, I thought about Moncreif and Moses, but that Defense could not hold a lead or stop the run.

    Nothing to defend bites. Great job on both picks.

    I think inside backer is a BIG need. Williams didn't play enough for me to trust him. So you actually have one really ggod inside backer in Timmons. So yes, IL is a big need! *THUMBSUP*

    Thanks LTS, I appreciate the support. I was so mucking fad the other night, both CB's gone, both on the board with 2 picks to go, it suck royal buffalo ass. I pouted slightly but in the end, Mosely made sense, and he truly was BPA.

    You guys have a good argument on take the best player at his position. Other than RB, OL, QB, TE, it makes sense. Moncrief is what the 8th best WR available, Tuitt was the second rated 5 technique and mid second is a steal. There is a cb I really like, but at 46 it's reaching. I think 2 or 3 of the guys I like later on will still be there, I can only hope. Another thing about a working board, since I took Mosely, then Smallwood, Bullough, Borland, are off the board. And I know the Steelers have interest in BUllough, I have some reservations on him. Not instincts but Speed and why in the heck was he suspended for the Bowl game. The last thing I want is for Tomlin and Colbert to draft another Chucklephuc like Tau'amu . It also sort of removes the other 5 techniques from this exersise for me, unless of course my sleeper falls into our comp pick in the 5th then I will double up.

    I am glad Colbert signed Mitchell, because this class of Safeties past the top 5 are really not impressive. And once you get past Buchannon and the next guy, not sure if he is picked yet, so not dropping names, but there is a HUGE gap in talent. Like you could argue 2 full rounds of a gap. Good news is teams will panic and reach for a Safety, and another player will fall to the Steelers.

    I think Jenkins is off the board, first round talent, 3rd round off the field crap, so round 2 is the projected area. Is anyone else sick and tired of "The Steelers need LB and OL help" maybe ILB but the mocks target OLB. I like my board, it's a usuable tool to guess. Is it true to form? I really have NFC, because being on the road, it's hard to print jack with a portible device. The lobby does have desktops, maybe that's an option. If someone really wants to take the time, cut and paste my board, then cross out who has been tanken. I have NFI on how to post a link from an IPAD. but if you go to forums, NFL DRAFT, it's being updated right on page 1 second post.

    It may or may not help me fix it, because I know I have FUller too high, it was evident at 15 he was not the BPA, and if I did not go Mosely,, really taking Calvin Pryor was less of a stretch than Haggeman or Fuller. Is Shamarko Thomas the next Bob Sanders, stayed tuned, I am not sure. Troy hardly even played his Rookie season so to pass judgement on him is blind. However, moving up 2 phuccing spots still keeps me up at night. *ROSE*

    Another thing, back to WR, before I picked at 46 eight were already taken. DL is almost totally being ignored, a Guy like Ego Furguson is going to be a solid pro, and these guys are taking 3-4th round talent at Safety very early. I call it the "Harrison Smith Effect" oh and don't get me wrong, Buchannon is a stud, he went at 34 I think and that is realistic. But Brock Vereen, wow that's s stretch. The other S I liked went to the Ravens, kid from Florida State, Brooks. Mid 2nd is only reaching if he's a desperate attempt to fill a hole. I think I have him rated in that range regardless. The kid to keep an eye on, total sleeper out of Jacksonville State: Pierre Warren.

    hey ny, if I may make a suggestion on round 3 if he's still there . Pierre Desir would be a need and more than likely BPA based on PON.

    Agreed but .. Since its a LIVE exercise we may want to keep our thoughts as PM 's I got a few guys that could be good pros rated in the middle rounds. The best thing to do is to build your teram with top level talent. Sure Seattle just won the Super Bowl with top level secondary players, but it does not mean you have to follow suit. I have confidence the Steelers will aquire talent in the secondary, at the right price at the right time.

    To further expand on my theory, teams that keep reaching for that magical QB do it over and over and over again and they mire in medicority. And that Harrison Smith Theory, yes they eeded Safetyhelp desperately, but did it put them over the top, nope. I can mention it now, because all 5 are gone, but Safeties in rounds 1, 2 are going to go hard and heavy/early in the real draft too. Buchannon is and enforcer,, Dix is a solid, Pryor will knock you the eff out, Ward is very gifted and should translate to the pro level. And Brooks, he is just a kid who gets it.

    In my opinion, the actual draft may not mirror the Collaborative, because those GM's ignored the trenches until mid second. Moses and JuWann James hold a lot more value than the 6th best safety or the 9th best WR. And silly enough the 4th best DT is still out there. That value on the D line is sort of forgotten, there is so much depth at CB and WR, unless your guy is there, you wait.Sure I could have gone Moncrief but he was always a 3rd round prospect. And the kid out of Indiana, Lattimore, was snapped up @ 43. So I don't expect the real draft to go down like this. I made the best of it and look forward to Sunday morning. LIsten, Ike Taylor and Cortez Allen were both 4th rounders, there is value if you stick to your board and you don't reach or panic.

    As bb always preaches, games are won and lost at the LoS. If you give a QB 3-4 seconds to find a receiver he will find one regardless of the CB talent. A dominant DL will always give you a great chance to win because they affect every snap. A DB can be taken out of 30% of the defensive snaps based on play selection and route trees. Most NFL teams know that which is why the top half of most drafts are centered on the trenches.

    Including QB, OL, DL, and LB

    2013 = 12 of 16
    2012 = 11 of 16
    2011 = 13 of 16
    2010 = 11 of 16
    2009 = 12 of 16

    If these mocks don't mirror that kind of selection they won't be a reliable predictor. Granted some will follow the DB model because of Seattle, but that disrespects the quality of the Seahawk DL.

    NY,

    The Tuitt pick at #46 is a great pick - good value - He has some quickness to him. Like this one - good job

    enjoy,

    Looking at the list, there are 11 guys listed in the QB/DL/LB/OL category. So the mock is entirely possible - one player reach or draft day trade can wreck the whole thing though. I like Pittsburgh's chances to nab another top player this year.

    I think the Steelers can definately get 2 top prospects in the 1st 2 rounds with all the QB's available. The teams that need a QB won't take a chance on letting them get to the 3rd round. I think somebody will jump on Savage in the 3rd round also. All the QB's will benefit the Steelers.....
