Update on the board I'm on 130 out of 210, it's harder than you think. I'm grading a few injured players as 5th rounders : Colvin & Brandon Thomas

I appreciate the hard work NY. It is not harder than I think - I wouldn't think about even trying it myself!

  3. gidion72 Legend Steelers

I couldn't do it because I quit watching college ball. I wouldn't know squat about these guys except what I read from you guys on here. I know it is very time consuming. Thanks for the hard work you put into this ny.

Collaborative draft Barr & Dennard gone. Still available: Fuller, Mosley, Gilbert Thoughts? The Board says Mosley BTFW

  5. StlCrtn Franchise Player Steelers

I would say one of the 2 CBs. Maybe try and trade back 2-3 spots and pick up a 3rd?

  6. demolisher43 Franchise Player Steelers

I don't care what anyone says. Fuller isn't an option at 15.

  7. nybites M.V.P. Steelers UCONN

I have to agree and now Gilbert is off the board. Looking to trade back
Or just wait it out. Pretty sour right now . NFW am I taking a WR or CB in this spot the way things went sour so quickly.

  8. Baramay Guest

I think this is a highly likely outcome in the draft. If you are unable to trade back, in hindsight would you have tried to trade up for a CB or Barr?

To trade down, Pittsburgh needs Donald to be off the board for Dallas and Miami interested in jumping Dallas for Kouandijo or Martin. Rumors of the 49ers looking to trade up seem to be very real but I think they want Barr or Evans. They have the picks to trade up. In the Miami trade scenario I think the Steelers might have to throw in a 5th to get a 3rd which would not bother me.

  9. nybites M.V.P. Steelers UCONN

Well the trade offer went away now I am stuck with C--- Juice Mosley. Muck Fee.

Sorry man. Don't worry I'm not trying to snoop and I'm ignoring your big boards and mock talk. I usually check this thread out anyways. I had a better offer to move up and give up less and I'm going to take that later. I would have probably taken Mosely if I traded here but the other deal just worked out better even if I miss out on him.

Was Zack Martin still an option? With the 2 "Einsteins" (Oh my leg Gilbert and WTF Adams), Martin needs to be in the picture - Just my opinion... This kid can play. Not a glamour pick but the kid is going to be a solid starter for 10-12 years in the NFL - even if you have to move him to OG - upgrade over Foster and is position flexible..

    enjoy,

C.J. Mosley is going to be a phenomenal football player.

And he should have been. You can't fix stupid.

  15. nybites M.V.P. Steelers UCONN

Martin, Ebron, Fuller, Mosely were more or less my choices. Moats is a backup, Spence may never heal, Williams is a good player, just not a Pittsubrgh starter at this point. The word on Mosley is he is a smart player, plays all 3 downs, and a few of our losses were attributed to long runs because of mental mistakes by the LB with Foote out. (Vikings, Raiders).

The timing last night was bad for me, and will again be for round 2, I will be in a loaded truck in the middle of PA on May 1st, travelling 6am to 6 pm.

With that said, whoever has the time send me a short list of 5 guys who might be there at 46. I am not targeting any position or dropping any names but I think WR, CB, and DL will be very much in play. ILB is off the table for the rest of the draft, Smallwood, Bullough, etc.. off the board for this exercise.

  16. burghball Guest

Yep - true... It's an educated guess... a crap shoot... Mosley may turn out to be a great one - and I wouldn't have an issue with him at #15 either. I do however like Z.Martin - and also would not have an issue with him at #15 and I kind of feel would be less risk as Oline and Dline 1st round selections generally are.

Ebron may turn out to be a great pro - but the risk of a bust to me is too high - I wouldn't take him at #15.... Same for M.Lee and K.Benny... my opinion

    enjoy,

Here's a couple of guys NY - rated in the second round - there are more you can choose from - just a short list(no order over a few positions):

    D.Moncrief WR
    A.Robinson WR
    J.Matthews WR
    Joel Bitonio OT/OG
    S.Tuitt DL
S.Crichton DE/OLB <---- just had a nice visit with the Steelers - I need to research him more
    J.James OT
D.Bucannon S <--- maybe a little high - but you and I really like this kid
    J.Verrett CB

I think the kid from Rice would be a reach in the 2nd... but I like him too

please do not copy, quote, or paste, it's nowhere near checked over, I think I mixed a few kids up, schools, etc.. if you can find some errors, have at it. Or constructive comments are always welcomed. Players I've missed, etc.. Chris Borland may require a third shoulder surgery, that is why he is so low.

what to do: find the error, cut and paste that palyer or section, and then bold it, so I see the mistake.

On the road tomorrow, won't be in hotel unitl after 6 PM.
